A Windows 8 run commandis simply the name of the file used to execute a

program. Knowing the run command for a program inWindows 8can be useful if

you'd like to start a program from a script file or if you only have access to a

command line interfaceduring a Windows issue.

For example, write.exeis the filename for the WordPad program in Windows 8.By executing the writerun command, you can start the WordPad program.
