Neram Short Film & Music Video Fest (Season 2)

Rules and Regulations Festival Regulation

 

Deadline for entries: 9th February 2016. 

Only films made after 1st January, 2015, 

Category 

Short films :  not exceeding 30 minutes.

Music Video : not exceeding 7 minutes. 

  The films/musc video have to be short fiction of less than 30min duration.

1. How to Apply?

a) Procedure: An applicant has to fill the Entry form, available at our website along with the

bio-data, photographs, filmography, etc.

b) Entry Fee: The entry fee is non-refundable.

c) Entry Fee  – Rs.300/-

d) Entrants are required to submit DVD / USB of the film, packed properly and freight pre-

paid, through India post speed post service or other fast delivery services.

2. The payment should send along with DVD & application form duly filled or Deposit on

a) Entrants are required to send a confirmation mail to theneram@gmail.com 

Mentioning the Title of the entry, receipt no, Name of the bank and branch, and the PostalPOD no

 

3. Final Submission: All in prescribed format should be received by the NeramEntertainments (www.theneram.com) by 9th February, 2016. 

4. Selected entries will be acknowledged via e-mail.

5. Pre-Selection Process:

Entries will be previewed by Pre-Selection Committee and the shortlisted films will be

previewed by the Selection Jury which will finally select films for the competition sections. 

6. Selection Process: 

a) Festival Authorities will be the right to make copies of DVDs for pre-selection /

selection purpose and noncommercial screenings.

b) The decision of the selection committees and juries will be final & binding on all and will

not be subject to discussion.

c) Films once selected and submitted for the final screening will not be allowed to be

withdrawn under any circumstances. Participation in the festival implies acceptance of

Festival Regulations.

d) In the case of faulty projection, the festival cannot be held liable for intangible losses

incurred by Director, Producer or Distributor.

7. Rights of Festival Authorities: 

a) Festival Authorities reserve the right to accept or not to accept any films on any groundincluding the likelihood of the film offending the feelings of any state, religion, country or on

the grounds such as racism and religion.

b) Decisions of the Festival Authorities regarding all matters not expressly provided for in

these regulations or which require interpretation of the clauses mentioned above shall be

final & binding on all parties.

c) Festival Authorities has the right to change any rules of the fest at any point of time.

8. Copyright: 

a) It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to secure clearance from the copyright

holders of any copyrighted materials included within the submitted film. Neram

Entertainments will not be held responsible for the unauthorized inclusion of any

copyrighted materials within or relating to the submitted film. Neram Entertainments 

reserves the right to disqualify any film with any unauthorized inclusion of copyrighted

materials.

b) Censorship will not be applicable to any film entered in the festival.

9. Jury: 

a) Jury will determine the winning films and will be composed of individuals selected by

the Festival Authorities. The decision of Jury will be final and binding to all.

b) The Jury has the right to withhold an award in any category where no entries, in the Juries

view, meet its standards for award / recognition.

10. Transportation: 

a) Cost of transportation of tapes / media and all related documents, publicity materials from

the origin to the Festival Office shall be borne by the entrant.

NB:

1. Participants must ensure that his/her name is clearly written on the pay-in-slip and DVD.2. The receipt must be submitted along with DVD / Pen drive for participation.
