RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. -The Society shall be known as The Aberchirder & District Horticultural Society. Membership shall be granted to all interested on payment of the Annual Subscription of £7.00. 2. -The object of the Society shall be the acquisition and dissemination of Horticultural knowledge and the Sciences relating thereto, and so perform an acceptable part in the social and cultural life in the community in Aberchirder and District. 3. -The affairs of the Society shall be conducted by a Committee consisting of The President, The Vice Presidents, The Secretary, The Treasurer and at least twelve elected members. Any five members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum. The President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer and other Committee members shall hold office for one year and shall be eligible for re-election at the Annual General Meeting to be held annually during each calendar year. 4. -All funds held by and in the name of the Society shall be applied solely to the aforementioned objects of the Society. 5. -A Show shall be held annually in the month of August. Prizes will be awarded for the best exhibits of Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables and in any other section which the Committee may decide to open to competition. 6. -Non-Members of the Society will be required to pay 25p for each entry. Exhibits must be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor for at least 8 weeks prior to the day of the Show. Exhibitors must, if required by the Committee, produce satisfactory evidence of ownership. RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. -The Society shall be known as The Aberchirder & District Horticultural Society. Membership shall be granted to all interested on payment of the Annual Subscription of £7.00.

11.Any Exhibit, which is not according to schedule, may be disqualified

12. - Prizes may be withheld when exhibits are deficient in quality or condition.

13. -In the event of a tie for Most Points Prize, the competitor with the most First Prizes shall be adjudged the winner.

14. -Members of the Public shall be admitted to the Show between the hours of 12.00 noon and 5 p.m. on payment of £4.00. Children under 14 years, £1.00. Members of the Society shall be admitted by free ticket furnished by the Secretary.

15. -No person shall, on any pretext, be admitted to the Show prior to its being opened to the public, except those appointed by the Committee to take charge of the arrangements. No exhibits shall be removed from the show before 4.45 p.m. (Except Livestock - 4.00 p.m.).

16. -While the Society cannot and will not accept responsibility for the loss of or damage to any exhibit, every possible precaution will be taken against loss and damage.

17. -Complaints must be lodged in writing with the Secretary before 2 p.m. on the day of the Show. £1 .00 must accompany every complaint but, in the event of the Committee finding justification for such complaint, the payment shall be refunded; otherwise the payment shall be forfeited.

18. -The Committee may, at their discretion, instruct the inspection of the garden of any competitor.

19. -Persons found to obtain prizes by unfair or fraudulent means shall forfeit all prizes gained and be banned from all future competitions.

20. -In the event of any dispute, the Committee’s decision shall be final.

21. -All pieces of Plate and other Trophies not won outright must be returned to the Secretary by 22nd of July, 2008.

22. -Prize money to be collected on day of Show between the hours of 2.30p.m. -4.30 p.m. (or from the Treasurer before 31st August, 2008).

23.-Trophies will be presented at 2.45 p.m. Winners are responsible for the care of trophies while in their possession.
