Rule of Thirds
• Explains what part of an image the human eye is most strongly drawn towards first.
• Draw an imaginary tic-tac-toe board across an image to break it into nine equal squares.
Rule of Thirds
• The four points where these lines intersect are strongest focal points.

• Objects placed along the LINES themselves are the second strongest focal points

What should you do?
• Place the object’s center of interest at intersections or along the lines themselves
• NOT IN THE MIDDLE !• Eliminate areas that are
distracting.
