Aims of the AcademyThe Touch Football/Rugby League Academy aims to provide students with unparalleled opportunities to develop their sporting ability towards the ‘elite’ level and further their playing careers in Touch Football/Rugby League. In order to do so, we will provide expert coaching, personalised training programs via the latest industry methods and techniques and a supportive environment to ensure student success. Students will receive targeted support to balance academic, sporting and career goals while managing training and playing commitments.

Selection CriteriaStudents are interviewed by school administration team at which time enrolment in the program is considered: feedback from the practical trial, academic progress, behaviour and effort grades.

The format for the practical trials include:• technical assessment in touch football/rugby league• athletic ability assessment• game awareness assessment.

Entry RequirementsStudents must be playing or have the ability to play at Regional Representative standard eg. Metropolitan East, Metropolitan West, BMTA Mustangs, Ipswich Falcons, Redlands.

Students must meet three criteria to remain in the Program:

• Progression in the Touch Football/Rugby League Academy.

• Academic standards that reflect genuine effort.

• High standard of attitude and behaviour.

Conditions of Enrolment• Obey all school rules and policies.• Follow the school’s Code

of Conduct.• Wear the correct uniform at

all times.• Be conscientious in all studies,

fulfilling all course requirements, including homework and assessments.

• Achieve at least a “B” academic standard in both effort and behaviour in all subjects.
