Rugby Congratulaons to all our students that atended the Gala Day on Friday. You represented Alma with pride and a great day was had by all. Thank you to our wonderful P&C and volunteers for providing a canteen on the day, Alma Juniors 1 made it into the grand final but unfortunately did not take out the win.

Assembly and Future Events-COVID-19 We will have to cancel our upcoming assembly this Friday in response to the latest media release from the Department of Educaon. We will connue to celebrate your child’s success at a classroom level. There also may be future events cancelled such as gala days and Easter Hat parade in response to COVID-19. We will keep you informed with any updates using the school app and newsleter.

Current advice from the NSW Government for parents and affected staff is: • Any confirmed case of COVID-19 will be excluded unl they are medically cleared to return. • Close contacts of a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be excluded for 14 days since last contact with the

confirmed case. • Students and staff who have returned to Australia and have shown no symptoms during the 14-day home-

isolaon period are able to return to school or work. • NSW Health has processes in place to idenfy any close contacts of cases confirmed in Australia. A close

contact is a person who has spent significant me either face to face (15 minutes) or in an enclosed space (2 hours or more) as someone who has tested posive for COVID-19. It is advising these close contacts about not atending work, school or early childhood and childcare services.

• The Department of Educaon connues to work closely with NSW Health to monitor and respond to developments and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

• Consistent with current guidelines, children, students and staff who are unwell with respiratory illness should remain at home unl symptoms resolve. In accordance with our current pracce if any student becomes unwell we will implement our infecon control guidelines and follow the advice provided by NSW Health as appropriate.

The best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is the same way you would protect yourself from catching flu or other respiratory illnesses. 1. Wash your hands Clean your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based saniser with at least 60% alcohol. 2. Cough equete Cover your sneeze or cough with your elbow or with a ssue (and dispose of it immediately). Avoid close contact with people who are ill. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. 3. Stay home if you are sick If your child is unwell with a respiratory illness they should remain at home unl symptoms clear up.

Preschool I would like to take this me to thank our wonderful preschool team for their efforts with assessment and rang last week. The assessor was very impressed with our staff and the passion they have for the preschool. I would also like to thank Jessica Townsing, our P-2 iniaves officer for her ongoing support.

Have a great week!

ALMA SCHOOL PHOTO DAY Wednesday 1st April (Term 1 Week 10)

Dear Parents School photographs are scheduled to be taken by Advancedlife Photography. Whilst an envelope has been distributed, it is our preference that ordering be completed online to reduce administraon and potenal security issues related to the return of cash and envelopes on the day.

Orders for packages and sibling photographs can be placed securely online at www.advancedlive.com.au using our school’s 9-digit advancedorder code. Portrait and group package orders are due by photo day.

Sibling Orders Online: Should you wish to purchase a sibling photograph online; the order must be placed no later than Tuesday 31st March. Sibling photos will only be taken if an order has been placed.

Should you have any queries concerning school photographs or online ordering, please direct them via email to [email protected]

Please note: Bugdlie photos will be taken at Bugdlie on Tuesday 31st March.

The school only collects envelopes on behalf of Advance Life, we DO NOT give change. Please ensure you have the CORRECT MONEY in your envelope.

The office will be closed before 9.00am on photo day for staff photos.

Due to the large amount of people who le it to the last minute in the past, the office is only accepng envelopes unl Friday 27th March.

If you have not returned or ordered by the Friday 27th March, you will need to give your envelope to the photographer with the CORRECT MONEY on photo day.
