Born December 30, 1865 in Bombay, India
Father: John Lockwood Kipling a sculptor at Sir Jamsetjee
Jeejeebhoy School of Art and Industry
Mother: Alice Kipling
Age of 6, sent to boarding school and lived with Mr. and Mrs.
Holloway including his 3 year old sister Alice
Mrs. Holloway used to torture him (speaks about it in biography)
attended United Services College in Devon
wanted to study at Oxford but couldn't afford it
Job: Assistant Editor of local newspaper in Ciliv & Military
Gazette
Wife: Carrie Balestier (sent a telegram to propose)
got married in All Souls Church, Langham Place, England
moved to United States
Children: Josephine, Elise, and John
after the 1st daughter- stated writing The Jungle Book series
Died January 18, 1963 in London
