Working in a Unit

• When you click on the map you wish to work in, you will see a list of all of the units for that map, along with the time frame for each unit.

• To open, click on name of unit you wish to work with

Editing Text Boxes

• Click in the text box you wish to edit (ie. Essential Question) and type.

• The tool bar above the box allows you to change font, size, color, and spell check what you have written.

Adding a New Assessment Method

• Click on “Add New Assessment Method” • A box will pop up.

Adding a New Assessment Method

• Write a title for your assessment• Use the drop down box to choose the method of assessment.• Use the dropdown box to select type of assessment. • Describe the assessment in the Assessment

Description text box.

Editing a Created Assessment

• Click on the pencil to the left of the assessment you wish to edit.

• Follow instructions for creating an assessment for any section of the assessment you wish to change (title, method, type, description).

Editing Interdisciplinary Knowledge

• Click on the subject areas being addressed in this unit.

• Write the unit knowledge for each subject area in the text box.

Editing Interdisciplinary Knowledge

• To access the content from the Scope and Sequence, click on the “link” button. If the paperclip icon is red, it means that there are things linked to the unit. If it is gray, it means nothing has been linked yet.

• A pop-up box will show you the linked documents forthis section. Clicking onthe file will allow you todownload them.

Adding Standards

• Click on the “Add New” button above the Standards text box.

• Choose the type of Standards that the Unit is addressing (CC, Science, etc).

Adding Standards

• A list of Standards will appear. • Simply choose the Standards that relate to

this unit. • Repeat for other content Standards.

Linking Resources and Lesson Plans

• Click on “Link” Box to right of section name.• You can link to a website by pasting in the URL

and adding in a description. • You can also link a file from your computer. • If you select “link to lesson plan” you will

upload a file from your computer which you will be able to search for separately (look for the purple handprint).

Renaming Unit

• At top of unit plan, there is a button that will give you the option to rename, add a new unit, or delete unit.

• Click “rename” and change name in the pop-up box that appears.

Changing Unit Time-Line

• When looking at all units on a map, you have the option to change the time-frame for each unit.

• By clicking on the blue bar, you can move or change the length of time a unit will take to complete.

Other Rubicon Features
