STC U900 Project RTWP Check List. Resume As we know, High RTWP issue is the common issue in Refarming U900 project. Because in SDR site scenario, GSM and U900 Frequency is close, and sharing the same Jeeper, Feeder, Connecter, Antenna. If one of the hardware is not good enough, it will cause RTWP issue by PIM. During U900 Pilot Project in Hafer Al-batin, there are several kinds of reasons cause RTWP issue. This document sums up those learning lessons. When Dammam U900 Project coming, all of our teams should know well RTWP issue details and how to do the RTWP check list. We do not want to send team on site again and again. If like U900 Pilot RTWP issue, STC customer will complain with us, and pending our process. So integration team do the site checklist during MDT to resolve the RTWP and orther hardware issue is very important to our project. High RTWP performance is greater than -95dBm. Two channels or single channel is continually and consistently higher than - 95dBm. During MDT time is non-busy traffic time. So it’s impossible cause by Many user. Case of RTWP issue Channel configuration mistake 1Tx2R FREQBWH U900 need to be 4.2MHz (U2100 is 5MHz)( LST FREQBWH) TMA and RCU(TMA again and Antenna attenuation configuraiton not match) GSM TCH/BCCH Use Refarming Frequent (52~72) PIM by bad hardware or not installed well (Jumper indoor or outdoor, Feeder, Antenna) Exteral interference

Check List1 Channel confirguration mistakeDuring MDT, when implementing team informs integration team ,the site hardwares are already installed completely. The integration need to confirguration two channels Rx for U900 carrier.Check waysolution1 integration team need to confirgure two channels for U9002 open NodeB LMT, choose RTWP board monitor. If the RTWP value shows two channels value is ok. If only shows single channel value is mistake. Need to confirgure two channels.Board RTWP Monitor

2 PIM by bad hardware or installing badlyDuring MDT, RTWP board monitor two channels Rx value. If one of them is high or both of them are high. Need to take Action, Inform the implementing team to check and change the Indoor Jumper and connector.And the implementing team needs to bring some material (jumper \connector\feeder\attenna and something else) on site during MDT.

Step 1Try to check and replace the connector and Jumper indoor by a new one. Then Monitor again. Most hardware problem will be resolved by this action.Step 2If not, Step 1 not works, try to swap the jumper with other sector which RTWP is Normal. To confirm is RRU problem or Tx/Rx part problem.If RTWP high with the RRU, it means RRU problem; If RTWP high with the Jumper, it means hardware problem. We need to confirm again, its PIM reason or not by next step 3.Step 3PIM test. From PIM test to confirm the RTWP issue is caused by Feeder outdoor Jumper or Antenna, or notIf its caused By PIM. So we try to change the outdoor Jumper first. If still high RTWP, then we change the Attenna or the feeder step by step.

Operation detail

After Operation 3 and after Operation4 we need to monitor board RTWP value. If one of the channel turn high, It means PIM isssue , Integration Team need to inform the implementing team to change outdoor Jumper or Antenna or feeder and monitor the board RTWP till RTWP is normal (less than -95dBm)

Step 4If PIM Test is normal. (After step3 - operation3 and operation 4 RTWP not change.)Its maybe caused by external interference .Then we need to scan FFT frequencyspectrum , and save the monitor logfile. And send the result and logfile to RF team.

Operation1: open FFT frequency test as below snapshot.

Choose one Broadband offline test As below snapshot congfirugaiton RBW =100 KHz. And save the trace log file (add the cellname for rename the log file names).

Operation2Deactivate 2G cellDeactivate U900 cell

Operation3Collect the logfiles by at least 15 minutes. And send the log files to to RF team.External interferenceIf RTWP high is not caused by PIM. Maybe its caused by external interference. We need to do the FFT scan first. And record the monitor logfiles.External interference source maybe is nearby GSM site use (refarming 52~72 frequency) , microwave set(like in Hafer Batin), different kinds of sets which use 900MHz frequency.And RF team will confirm and send team on site to do the Scan test. Try to find the External interference source out.TMA and RCUFor the Non-SDR sites the U900 carrier channels install TMA (for RCU). The TMA gain is 12dB in U900 Pilot as the default value. So the attenuation need configuration to to be 12dB also.We need to confirm how many sites designed to install TMA and its type.(LST TMA/SCN ALD/DSP RXBRANCH)
