Adopted by the Congregation on April 24, 2009

Having been brought by God’s grace to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ we now, in dependence upon His Spirit, resolve to live by faith, and so renew this covenant with each other.

1. We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Eph 4:3)

2. We will be devoted to one another in brotherly love. With humility and gentleness we will patiently bear with each other, forgiving, encouraging and building one another up, exercising watchfulness over each other and admonishing one another when necessary. (Luke 17:3; Col 3:13; 1 Thes 5:11; 1 Pet 1:22)

3. We will not neglect to gather together, or to pray for ourselves and others. (Col 4:2; Heb 10:25)

4. We promise to bring up our children and youth in the training and instruction of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example to seek the salvation of our family and friends. (Eph 6:4; 1 Pet 3:1)

5. We will rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep, helping to carry each other’s burdens. (Rom 12:15)

6. We will seek, by God’s help, to live carefully in this world, denying ungodliness and worldly passions. We will strive to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age, as we wait for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:12; 1 Pet 1:14)

7. We will defend and maintain an evangelical ministry in this church by supporting and upholding:

i.The preaching of the Word of God (2 Tim 4:2) ii.The administration of the Gospel Sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s

Supper) (Acts 2:38; 1 Cor 11:26) iii.The exercise of Church discipline (Matt 18:17; 1 Cor 5:13)

8. We will contribute cheerfully, generously and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations. (Matt 28:19; Luke 12:33; 2 Cor 9:7)

9. We will, when we move from this place, as soon as possible unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen. (2 Cor 13:14)

First Friday Prayer and Praise — September 2nd Join us as we gather next Friday at 6:00 p.m. for our monthly corporate prayer and fellowship, along with a community meal. Everyone is welcome.

Thursday Night Bible Study Join us as we continue our inductive study of 1 Corinthians. We meet downstairs each Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

New Members’ Weekender — in 3 weeks If you are new or have not yet joined UCCD, come to our Membership Matters Weekender on September 16-17 (Friday afternoon 4:00-7:00, Saturday morning 9:30-12:00) to meet some of our leaders and learn what we believe and value most as a church. Youth Ministry Parent Meeting Today After Church An informational meeting for a preview of the exciting plans we have for this year! Today after the 10:30 AM church gathering, in the "Youth Church" room downstairs. You'll also have the opportunity to meet other parents and youth leaders. There will also be a time of Q & A in order to address any questions you might have. 

H2O is Back! Our Thursday evening youth meetings will resume September 1, 2016. We meet in Emanuel Hall (on the first floor) every Thursday from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. So, if you are in grade 6 through 12, or age 12 -18, we'd love for you to join us!

Fort SAND Classes This week, in Fort SAND, all kids will be moving to their new small groups and we'll be starting a study on the book "Big Truths for Young Hearts." This week's lesson will be an overview of the Bible showing that the whole Bible points to Christ. Older children will be focussing on the truth that "He died so we can live" and preschoolers will be remembering that "Jesus died on the cross." Our memory verse this week is 2 Corinthians 5:17.
