– the concept

• Established in 1997 in the UAE, Room Service Deliveries (RSD) was conceived to “bring you the finest restaurants to your doorstep within 60 minutes”.

• Following several months of testing, the service was officially launched in Dubai in March 1998 with a portfolio of 12 Restaurants.

• Our Abu Dhabi service was launched on September 1999.

• The 2 entities fall under the umbrella of our Dubai operations.

• Today, RSD delivers more than 25 different cuisines from over 100 of the finest restaurants in the UAE to your home or office.

• Order is transferred to RSD through email.

• One of our friendly operator calls the customer

to confirm all details and delivery time.

• Orders can be placed 24h a day, 365 days a year.

• Orders can also be placed up to 1 week in advance

for a specific delivery date and time.

• Customer can order from 2 or more restaurants on the same delivery.

• We also offer the service of picking up small grocery items on the way to

delivery.

Order Processing to Restaurants

• Orders are sent to the restaurant by fax or email.

• We always call the restaurant to confirm reception.

• Restaurant prepares the food for transportation.

• Food is then given to the driver.

• Driver delivers food to the customer.

• Restaurant prepares the order as outlined in the

fax/email.

• Meanwhile, a driver is dispatched to the restaurant.

• All food are transported in heat-insulated

food delivery bags.

• Customer pays the driver on site.

* We use only cars in Abu Dhabi.

• We use modern cars/vans and motorbikes for all our deliveries.

• We have about 20 vehicles* in our fleet.

• Motorbikes are used for small or orders, short distance or

or when the access to restaurant is difficult due to

heavy traffic.

• Estimated delivery time is 30 - 45 minutes.

• Traditional RSD restaurants are delivered by

cars/vans for longer distances or bigger orders.

• Estimated delivery time is 60 minutes.

Food Delivery and Payment

• Cash payment: customer pay driver on premise.

• Credit card payment: customer pays with mobile POS machine.

• We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Visa Electron, Diners Club, Master Card, Maestro and MC Electronic.

Payment to the Restaurant

• At the end of each month, the restaurant sends an invoice

to RSD for the meals delivered during the previous month.

• RSD makes the payment within 30 days following the submission on invoice.
