CLASS: 5B TIME : 10.45- 11.45 SUBJECT: SCIENCE Theme INVESTIGATING LIVING THINGS Learning Area 3. Food Chain and Food Web Learning Objective s 3.1 Understanding food chains. Learning Outcomes At the end of lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. Classify animals into herbivore, carnivore and omnivore. 2. Construct food chain. 3. Identify producer and consumer. SPS Classifying, predicting and Communicating, interpreting data. Activitie s: 1. Pupils identify the animals in the picture, identify its’ foods and classify it in it’s’ group. 2. Pupils concentrate to the teacher explanation by using slide show presentation. 3. Pupils remain in their groups and discuss to construct their own food chain and identify the producer and consumer. 4. Pupils present their works with the guidance of teacher. 5. Pupils write animals and food they eat in the mind maps at the whiteboard. 6. Pupils identify producer and consumer from food chains given.
