The major problem of unanswered calls in the afternoon was tackled by incorporating in the web a simple “Book an Appointment” feature which allows clients to book their appointments with the doctors according to their convenience. An additional feature was a voice recording system which enabled the patients to give their names, age; phone numbers etc so that the call back system would be more perfect. 2. The Online system of registration by the patient himself cut down the problem of sitting for hours for registration even after getting a token. 3. A special feature for patients who came for investigations alone was that the results would be forwarded to their emails and mobiles as soon as it was ready. They could also access and take printouts of the said results from the website using their registration ids 4. The difficulty in meeting their own consultant on a Friday because of weekly off by an ingenious method called “Meet your specialist on Fridays”. This package was developed out of necessity by our team after in-depth market review. By this the patient could fix up a meet with his consultant on Friday by booking online any day of the week. The consultant was appraised on the exact number of patients who would be there and he could come at his convenient time and finish his consultation. 5. Most of the patients being layman had no inclination as to which doctor to approach for his/her illnesses. This was answered by introducing a feature called “Find your doctor” which aided the patient in choosing the doctor of his/her choice and booking an appointment. 6. For those people who were on the road with no access to desktops or laptops, a mobile app was introduced where in they could avail all the website features. Our client caters to the middle class and above middle class masses. Random sampling from groups of people in the major target locations was done. The data is as follows: 1.
