for the attempted murder of her own son-in-law and the Australian rugby player, Bob Lulham (with whom she was having an intimate relationship). Killed herself with thallium in 1955.

1953, Caroline Grills tried for poisoning four people in her family by putting thallium rat poison in their tea. Sentenced to life in prison, where she was nicknamed “Aunt Thally”
