New Delhi: With a view to pro-
vide logistic support to the IEC
activities- information, educa-
tion and communication, hold-
ing camps for transiting to the
digital mode of payment, the
Government has undertaken
a series of measures to pro-
vide incentives to the district
administration which will give
a boost to cashless digital pay-
ment systems across the dis-
tricts, talukas and panchayats.
NITI Aayog has enlisted a
series of incentives for the
communication campaign for
the district authorities and
administration to promote the
transition to the cashless dig-
ital payment systems.
These include incentives for
digital payments for day to day
financial transactions like buy-
ing or selling goods/services,
transferring money etc.
NITI Aayog will provide logis-
tic support for outreach activ-
ities at the district, taluk and
panchayat level in form of the
seed money of Rs.5lakh per
district administration as a part
of the communication cam-
paign.
The purpose is to enhance the
seeding of Mobile and Aadhar
numbers to the bank account,
issue of Rupay cards wherever
necessary, issue of PIN wher-
ever necessary, downloading
of app wherever necessary and
finally achieving two success-
ful transactions.
The top ten best performing
districts will be awarded the
Digital Payment Champions of
India award.
The first 50 Panchayats which
go cashless will be awarded
Digital Payment Award of
Honour
The five digital payment sys-
tems are -
1.Unified Payment Interface,
UPI
2.USSD (*99#banking)
3.Adhar Enabled Systems
4.Wallets &
5.Rupay/Debit/Credit/Prepaid
Cards
The Hindi/English version of
the brochure which gives step
by step approach to each of
the five options is available on
the website- www.niti.gov.in/
conetent/digital-payments. In
order to help spread the mes-
sage of advantages of digital
payment systems , NITI Aayog
has collated and put up the
entire sets of creative materi-
al - presentations/posters./FM
radio spots/ films on its web-
site dedicated to the digital pay-
ments-www.niti.gov.in/cone-
tent/digital-payments.
In addition, Common Service
Networks are being mobilized
to enlist the support of people
and the merchants in going
cashless.Ministry of Electronics
and Information Technology
has announced cash incentive
of Rs.100 for every merchant
enabled to transact digitally.
Two resource persons have
been provided in each district
collectorate to co-ordinate the
CSE in each district.
NITI Aayog has also solicited
the views of the districts in
terms of the challenges being
faced by them, the solutions
thereof and the manner in
which they can be supported.
It has lauded the efforts made
by the district authorities in
d e s i g n i n g i n n o v a t i v e
Campaigns to help spread dig-
ital payments in their respec-
tive districts and urged upon
them tp share and document
the best practices. It will go a
long way towards ushering in
an era of transparency and
good governance for a cor-
ruption free India envisaged by
the Pr ime Minister Shr i
Narendra Modi.

Jaya under close watch of expert doc-tors; supporters pray for her recovery
RBI to issue new `20, `50 notes, old ones to be valid
Udaipur: A fair of noted pho-
tographers will be in organized
in Udaipur from December 7
through 9. The three-day fest
is expecting to have more than
2000 photographers and pho-
tojournalists besides students.
Revealing the program in
a press conference, senior
photographer Rakesh Sharma
(aka Rajdeep) said that such
a session at large scale will be
first in Udaipur. He added that
the Lake City camera club is
really excited. Last session
had happened in Banaras.
Rajdeep said that the ses-
sion will have emphasis on
fashion and model photogra-
phy. about 10 models will fea-
ture for the same. Nupoor
Paneri, Sania Khan, shweta
Sharma, Jaideep Sharma, and
Mangal will be among the fea-
turing models.
There will be a presenta-
tion on photojournalism as
well.
Secretary Dinesh Pagaria
said that inauguration of the
function will be done by light-
ing of lamp later sessions of
technicalities about photogra-
phy will be held. There will be
an exhibition of selected pic-
tures.The second day will be
dedicated to model photogra-
phy. Participants will learn nitty-
gritty of photography in Saas-
Bahu temple and during Jungle
Safari. Experts like Hari
Mahidhar, Vinay Parelkar and
Shivji Joshi will enlighten the
participants. A visual presen-
tation is also planned post
lunch session on day-2.
The final day will see felic-
itation of achievers. A session
of traditional photography will
be held in the guidance of Anil
Risal singh in the ambiance of
Shilpgram.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief
Minister J Jayalalithaa, said to
be critical after suffering a car-
diac arrest, on Monday con-
tinued to remain under close
watch of an expert team of doc-
tors at the Apollo Hospitals
where she has been under-
going treatment for more than
two months.
Doctors were closely moni-
to r ing the cond i t i on o f
Jayalalithaa and trying their
"very best", the hospital said
early on Monday, hours after
she suffered the cardiac arrest.
The 68-year-old Jayalalithaa
has been put on extracorpo-
real membrane oxygenation
(ECMO), a heart assist device,
and was under the watch of
experts, including cardiolo-
gists.
A large number of AIADMK
cadres, including women, anx-
iously stayed put outside the
hospital, which has been cov-
ered in a thick blanket of secu-
rity. Worried party supporters
continued to pray for her recov-
ery.
State DGP TK Rajendran on
Sunday asked all police per-
sonnel to remain on duty from
Monday "until further orders".
"They should report in full uni-
form with their vehicles for law
and order duty until further
orders," he said.
Announcing the sudden dete-
rioration in health, a statement
by Chief Operating Officer and
head of transformation of
Apollo Hospitals Dr Subbaiah
Viswanathan on Sunday night
said, "she is being treated and
monitored by a team of experts,
including cardiologists, pul-
monologist and critical care
specialists".
Following the development,
Tamil Nadu Governor Ch
Vidyasagar Rao, who is also
the Governor of Maharashtra,
airdashed to the city from
Mumbai and visited Apollo
Hospitals on Sunday night.

Radhakrishnan, who arrived at
the airport here on Monday
morning, said all BJP leaders,
including Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, wished for a
c o m p l e te r e c o v e r y o f
Jayalalithaa and they were

er and resume official duties.
AIADMK ministers, who stayed
put at the hospital since
Sunday, left on Monday morn-
ing. They did not talk to the wait-
ing mediapersons.
Party workers, who had gath-
ered in large numbers outside
the hospital after news of her
cardiac arrest broke, braved
midnight rains and continued
to wait outside, praying for the
recovery of 'Amma' (mother),
as she is fondly called by her
supporters.
Actor and party supporter,
'Gundu' Kalyanam, said the
party workers had faith in the
divine power and expressed
confidence that Jayalalithaa
would recover.

Chhena Payesh
Ingredients:Milk 1 1/2 litres,Saffron (kesar) a few strands,Lemon
juice 1 1/2 tablespoon, sugar 1/2 cup, almonds blanched and
chopped5-6Pistachios blanched and chopped 7
Method:Soak saffron in two tablespoons of warm milk and set aside.
Boil half litre of milk. As it comes to a boil add lemon juice and
keep stirring till all the milk curdles.
Strain the whey and tie up the chenna in a muslin cloth and
dip in ice water till it cools completely. Then squeeze till all the
liquid drains away. Set aside.
Boil milk, add a pinch of saffron, reduce heat and let it sim-
mer till reduced to half the original quantity.
Add sugar, stir and simmer till it dissolves. Mash chenna in
a bowl. Add it to the milk. Simmer for two minutes.
Add almonds and pistachios and the soaked saffron and
take off the heat.
Cool and serve.

Udaipur: A healthy competition was organised by Universal
Sr. Sec. school Udaipur to explore potential of kids. This infor-
mation is shared by Monica Singhatvadia MD of the school. In
this compitition children displayed their talent in folk dance, bol-
lywood and patriotic dances. In these compititions winners were
Kartvya Pawar, Kavya Sukhval,Siddhi Kharol, Anjana Vaishnav,
Sudeeksha Parihar, Kriyansha Jhala and Nidhi Vasita. At last
Sandeep Singhatvadia distributed prizes amongst children.
Udaipur:(Hritu Sodhi) 55 vehicles and a JCB earth mover
machine was confiscated in a drive to curb illegal mining in the
district. AS many as three cases were registered and an amount
of rupees 2787990 was recovered. Additional director of min-
ing and vigilance Abdul Latif shaikh apprised that six teams
were formed to check the illegal mining in the areas of rivers.
till date this year, the vigilance department has registered eight
cases and have seized a whopping sum of rupees 6355290
and 110 vehicles.

Sharma recently visited WZCC and discussed with the direc-
tor about preparation of Shilpgram utsav and various activities.
On last Monday minister was offered warm welcomes by
artisans and staff working in Shilpgram. The director Furkan

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India announced on Sunday it will issue new sets of `50 and `20 notes that have to carry the
year of printing, 2016, on the reverse side of the currency.
All older notes will continue to be legal tender.Documents posted on the central bank's website said the RBI will shortly issue
`50 banknotes without an inset letter in both the number panels and will carry the signature of governor Urjit Patel.
The ̀ 20 banknote will have the inset letter 'L' in both number panels and carry Patel's signature.The security features of both
banknotes will continue to be similar to the currency in circulation at present.
The inset letter is considered an additional security feature for a banknote that is said to indicate the press at which the cur-
rency denomination has been printed.The Mahatma Gandhi series of notes are called so because they prominently display
Gandhi's portrait on the obverse side.
The issuance of new notes comes at a time the country is grappling with a cash crunch following the recall of ̀ 500 and ̀ 1,000
notes three weeks back in a bid to drain illegal cash from the economy.Millions of people have lined up outside banks and ATMs
but have often gone back dissatisfied because authorities have little cash to disburse as 86% of the currency in circulation has
been taken off the market.
