THELEMAA tropical Thelema Sauvignon Blanc – lovely fresh melon & grapefruit flavours, with a full, grassy palate, all in
perfect balance.
LA MOTE Unaggresively refreshing lengthy apple, greengage flavours to dry finish. Distinct intensity of gooseberry, green apple,
lime & pineapple to reveal its varietal characteristics. A firm natural acid keeps the palate in balance with the 2.5g
residual sugar and ensures a lively freshness which is so essential for a dry aperitif-style wine.
PAUL CLUVER The colour is clear and bright, with a hint of green. The nose is clean and fresh with expressive granadilla, elderberry,
gooseberry & black currant characteristics. These flavours follow through onto the palate which has a lovely ceamy
texture – the result of extended lees contact.
MULDERBOSCHThe style is rich, with good mid-palate weight, ripe fruit flavours yet not forsaking feshness and mineral elements.
BOSCHENDAL RESERVE COLLECTION This wine shows classic cool climate characteristics. Opulent tropical and ripe pear flavours, together with mineral
notes on the nose. The palate displays richness and complexity with unique lime & capsicum undertones ending
with lingering mineral elegance. This is typical to the vineyards growing high in the mountain slopes.
SPRINGFIELD LIFE FROM STONEIntense, stony, minerally Sauvignon with lime, gooseberry, freshly cut green pepper & passion fruit notes. Zippy,
zesty & mouth-watering.
VERGELEGEN RESERVE Very pale colour, nose is classical Schaapenberg , reminiscent of kiwi, green fig , elder flower, passion fruit, guava
and gooseberry. The palate shows fresh acidity, the fruit is concentrated, full and ripe with good minerality &
excellent balance.
FRANSCHHOEK CELLAR “STATUE DE FEMME” Expressive tropical aromas tinged with capsicum opening up to attractive cape gooseberry, grapefruit & pineapple

SAUVIGNON BLANCChicken and lamb preparations with pronounced flavours such as those with tomatoes sun dried coriander and
caramelized onions are splendid when matched with the tight minerally ‘green fruit’ character of Sauvignon.
CHENIN BLANCCashew and almond nut paste enhanced dishes, again those grilled in the Tandoor and
finished in creamy sauces with tomato & tamarind as well as the famous Butter Chicken and Dal Tadka are well suited to the crisp character of Chenin.
GROOTE POSTA bright, full-styled Chenin with strong guava and green apple flavours. A lively freshness is underlined by a very good
length & body on the palate. Excellent value for money.
KEN FORRESTERA youthfull fresh wine with quince & pear drop flavours. Earlier picked freshness shows on palate with crunchy green
apple and grapefruit flavours. Good mouthfeel and appetisingly tangy finish.
BOSCHENDAL RACHEL’SThis fruity, well-alanced, full bodied wine is distinguishable by its exotic mango, apricot and pineapple aromas on the
nose. On the palate, there is a core of fruit with hints of nuts and honey.
WHIITE BLENDSThe dry & off dry styles with little residual sugar are definite considerations to accompany our
skillfully spiced vegetarian dishes with subtle combinations of delicate & aromatic spices. Whereas the sweet blends are best matched with dishes which are fairly hot & liberally spiced.
HAUTE CABRIERE CHARDONNAY PINOT NOIRThis enticing blend of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir shows elegant fruit underlined by firm acidity. You will find an
abundance of zesty fruit - most notalbly white peach, lychee and red fruit - with a delectale full mouth feel and balance
BUITENVERWACHTING BUITEN BLANCThis full bodied Sauvignon Blanc based blend offers a variation of fruit characters including ripe gooseberry, green
peppers, green melon and hints of tropical fruit.
VILLIERA GEWURZTRAMINERThis Gewürztraminer is typically romatic with intense lychee character and floral - rose petal - undertones.
It is rich and ripe with a soft off-dry finish ensuring good balance.
GRAHAM BECK THE GAME RESERVE VIOGNIERTinned pears and a nougat-like nuttiness contribute to a palate with feminine elegance. A crisp apple acidity
complemented by orange rind and apricot follow through to a long, lingering finish.
BOSCHENDAL BLANC DE NOIRA classic Rosé wine styled for immediate enjoyment, recommended for best drinking within a year or two of vintage
whilst yung and lively.
NEDERBURG ROSÉBright strawberry pink with a bouquet of candy floss, strawberries and dried herbs. Clean, fruity and refreshing
flavours with a good acid structure.

UNUSUAL VARIETALS
SPRINGFIELD WHOLE BERRYThis is a velvety wine with softer tannins and classical varietal characteristics. This traditional wine is unfiltered and
undefined, which may deposit sediment and might require decanting.
RUST EN VREDECassis and red currant aromas are infused with hints of floral characteristics. A firm tannin structure is in balance
with red fruit and liquorice flavours supported by a subtle oak component which fills the mid palate and carries
through to the finish.
TOKARA The wine has a rich, opaque plum colour with a red rim. The nose shows intense notes of cassis, cherries and cedar
with underlying hints of toasted oak, lead pencil and mint. The wine finishes firm and dry with a lingering taste
reminiscent of fennel and mocha.
THELEMA Complex and stylish, with bags of ripe blackcurrant and coffee flavours. This wine is bone dry, yet exhibits a lovely
sweet fruit character on the palate. The finish is long and firm.
VERGELEGEN RESERVEThe wine is complex, showing blackcurrants, spice, ripe plums and atractive wood aromas and favours. It is full
with firm, ripe tannins leading to a lingering aftertaste.
LA MOTETe wine refects varietal aromas on the nose, with wild berries, tomato leaf, cedar, cinnamon spice, dark chocolate
and truffle prominent. The heavy-bodied palate has a firm structure, but a fine tannin texture and a pleasant dry
aftertaste.
KANONKOPA full-bodied classic robust style of wine. Big , old and broad with flavours of dark fruits, leather and excellent length.
Matured in new and second-fll 225 litre French Nevers barrels for 22-26 months.
WATERFORDCedar wood, lead pencil and cassis. A classic Helderberg Cabernet Sauvignon showing characteristic stone earthy tones.
Elegantly structured wine with a firm natural acidity to balance the finish.

CABERNET SAUVIGNONCabernets have a powerful mouth-feel to them so are best with strongly spiced lamb & red meat
dishes which are cooked in the Tandoor and wrapped up in highly spiced, but not necessarily chilli-hot sauces.
GUARDIAN PEAK Beautiful black fruit and cassis aromas are apparent on the nose, withf notes of Cajun spice that is supported withf a delicate
fynbos line. The dark fruit shows super follow through from the nose. Te wine is seamlessly integrated, with round tannins
and a solid structure. The combination of the above creates an elegant wine that is true to its varietal character.
ZANDVLIETFull bore, super ripe reds, warmth from high alcohol - a good food wine.
RUST EN VREDEDark chocolate and raspberry aromas are supported by floral notes and a subtle hint of spice. Primary fruit follows
through on the palate with fine grainy tannins. A very well structured mid palate with savoury finish.
DE GRENDELThis Shiraz shows coriander, lavender, white pepper and some floral notes on the nose. This full structured wine is well
supported by oak undertones and sweet ripe tannins. On the palate, the wine finished with a beautiful clove favour.
SARONSBERG More savoury, dense and tight, with dusty oak tannins. Modern and upbeat.
FRNSCHHOEK CELLAR “OLD MUSEUM” This dark plum coloured wine has aromas of forest floor, Christmas cake and red cherries. The aromas of the nose
are also expressed on the palate. The palate finishes fesh and clean.
MEINERTBeautiful perfumed plum on the nose, together with appetising scents of roasted red peppers and a hint of tobacco.
In the mouth, soft to begin with, then impressive intensity, body and structure. The most powerful vintage yet of this
wine, it benefits from either decanting, or leaving in the glass for ten minutes before drinking.
MEERLUSTDeep, youthful purple colour with a ruby rim. Intense dark fruit on the nose, mulberry and damson plum with hints
of dark chocolate and spice. The full bodied palate offers generous, ripe, pure Merlot fruit with refreshing acidity, structured
yet silky tannins and pronounced length and minerality. There is a core of juiciness, opulence and richness typical of the variety.
GUARDIAN PEAKLively ruby red. Clean expressive red fruit aromas are prevalent on t\e nose. There are lovely undertones of fresh strawberries
and subtle mocha coffee notes. The fresh, lingering , red fruit characteristics are well supported with soft vanilla flavours. The
wine is well integrated with gentle tannins, and a soft, elegant finish.

SHIRAZHot and spicy Chicken or Lamb or Fish Vindaloo is the perfect partners to a fully textured Shiraz.
MERLOTSeafood curries elegantly partner this noble varietal with its classic full
flavoured palate of red berries and spices. Merlot should also be tried with the not too creamy but full textured, meat main courses.
DURBANVILLE HILLSA light ruby colour, this wine holds a black currant character with hints of ginger, cream and violets on the nose.
Medium-bodied and fuity with a soft and elegant palate laced with ripe fruit and creamy toffee.
DIEMERSDALRed pastille fruit, leafy notes on unknit.
STEENBURGThis multi layered Merlot shows flavours of dark berries, basil and spearmint on the nose. As it opens up, it flows into
dark c\ocolate, plums and cederwood. Intense and fine tannins give structure and length to the wine that finishes with
great concentration and weight.
BEYERSKLOOFDarkish, Burgundian purple colour. Spicy wood notes against rich plum and berry fruit, with typical restrained ‘fynbos’
aromatic notes on the nose. On the palate this wine has a dry, soft fruit-encased tannins which follow a spicy/fruit-sweet
entry, understated and balanced, medium-bodied with a nice spicy length.
SPICE ROUTEPerfumed plum aromas with subtle oak and spice notes. The palate is medium bodied to full bodied, with rich, blackberry
fruit flavours. Aromas follow through to full lingering finish. Tannin and fruit are in good balance and the wine shows
characteristic Swartland style.
KANONKOPA very complex wine withf hints of red fruit flavours which reflects some Pinot Noir style elegance and structure. Big,
old tannin structures which are down played by ripe tannins and elegance.
SIMONSIG This dark Persian red’s display of primary fruits reflects the varietal in its untouched state. The aromas of sweet red
berries and cherries create an exploding entrance where subtle pockets of blackcurrant and smooth silky tannins
ensure a capturing grand finale.
RUPERT & ROTHSCHILD CLASSIQUEVibrant flavours of young berries, plums, liquorice and cassis with a hint of coriander and white pepper and a fresh,
long finish.
MEERLUST RUBICONVery deep, youthful colour, and intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar
wood and intense spiciness. Still young and still intense, promising further maturation potential. The palate is full
bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.

all combine in a harmonious way. The Malbec and Petit Verdot provide colour and spice. The palate is juicy and
rich, leaving a lingering dry finish.

KANONKOP KADETTEThe wine has a deep ruby, red colour. It shows ripe raspberries, blackcurrant and mocha flavours on the nose and has
dark chocolate and blackberry fruit on the palate. This wine has good length with a dry finish.

KANONKOP PAUL SAUERA traditional blend of approximately 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot, it is matured
in new 225 litre French Nevers barrels for 22-26 months. It is often described as more elegant than the straight
Cabernet Sauvignon.

NEDERBURG INGENUITY Creamy-textured with a core of racy acidity and an amalgam of generous and enveloping fruit flavours enriched by
partial fermentation and ageing in wood. When well-chilled, the wine presents a crisp Sauvignon blanc profile but
when lightly filled the creamy oak vanillins come to the fore also displaying spice and floral characteristics.

PAUL CLUVERWinemaker Andries believes that the essence of a great Pinot Noir is the purity of fruit and the structure of the wine.
The colour of this wine is deeper than previous vintages - a beautiful garnet. The nose has delicate violet perfume aromas
combined with dark cherry, red berry and ribena berry. On the palate these characteristics follow through combining
with lovely aniseed, iodine saltiness. The fine grainy tannin adds to the allure of this wine which is more feminine than
previous vintages.

MEERLUSTIntense, vivid translucent youthful purple-ruby appearance. Lifted perfume on the nose with red berry fruit, musk, wild
and hints of savoury richness and spice and a pronounced minerality. Very pure Pinot fruit flavours on entry with red
cherry and musk flavours coupled with fresh acidity. The wine has layered complexity with great elegance and finesse.
Very fine lacy tannin on the finish.
