Out of Storage Space?
Let the RHS Construction students help you!
The RHS Construction program is building sheds for sale. Our
shed dimensions are 8' wide x 12' deep AND has 8' high walls
that offers over 750 cubic feet of storage space. Each shed
includes a 36" x 36" vinyl clad window as well as a 6' x 7' white
roll up garage door. This means you have ample light and a
door large enough for your riding lawnmower, patio furniture, and other seasonal items. Our
sheds use textured T1-11 siding and trim that will allow you to paint or stain any color you
wish. Interested parties who place a deposit on their shed will have color options for
architectural roof shingles and some finish/material options. New shed construction will
begin in late January 2019 at the start of our Construction course.
If you are interested in buying a shed, please contact us here at RHS for more details. Please
email Jessica Zoubek, RHS Senior Secretary, at [email protected] or Dirk Udee, RHS
Construction Instructor, at [email protected].
Thank you for supporting the RHS Construction program and our RHS Construction Students!

Fall National Honor Society (NHS) Selection Process
National Honor Society is a service organization and members become involved in many service projects throughout the school year, such as Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive, Food Drive, Toy Drive, Special Olympics Basketball tournament and Special Olympics Track Meet. Volunteering throughout communities in and around Rogers is also expected. NHS is also in charge of the inside concessions during home events at RHS for fall sports (volleyball) and winter sports (boys/girls basketball, wrestling and dance).
Members are required to do 10 individual hours of volunteer work outside of school to keep their membership active and up-to-date. In addition, they are required to put in 30 groups hours, which is usually taken care of during many of the service projects throughout the year. Members are expected to attend weekly meetings and to inform Mrs. Froemming, NHS advisor, if they cannot attend. It is an honor to be a part of Rogers NHS. Members feel proud to represent our school and our community through volunteering.
In August 2018, those students in grades 10-12 with a GPA of 3.50 and above will be invited to join NHS (9th grade students become eligible after completion of their freshman year). Students, who are invited to apply, will fill out an application and receive recommendations from RHS teachers and others who can explain how a particular student excels in the 4 pillars that define NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. Selection is based on review of each completed application packet, faculty recommendation and other verifiable information, which is reviewed by the Rogers NHS Faculty Advisory Council sometime in September 2018. The date of the 2018 NHS Induction Ceremony has been set for Monday, October 15, 2018 at 7PM in the RHS Performing Arts Center (PAC). If you have questions, please email Ann Froemming at [email protected] or by phone (late August) at (763) 274-3140, ext. 1651

From the Health Office…. Medical Action Plans
In preparing for the 2018-2019 school year, it is important to complete the appropriate medical information for your child prior to the school year starting. Each action plan must be signed by a physician and parent/guardian, and updated annually to ensure accurate information. Action plans (allergy, asthma, diabetes and seizures) allow school personnel to respond quickly to treat your child, minimize classroom disruption, potentially eliminate emergency room visits, and assist your child's quick return to the classroom. For appropriate forms to be completed by your medical provider, please refer to the Health Services webpage.

GOOGLE ACCOUNT DISABLED FOR SENIORS AUGUST 1
As graduates prepare to move on to bigger and better things, they have a few ways to take their existing digital school work
with them to college or work. With most student data kept or able to be put into their Google Apps for Education
@isd728.org accounts, students can export their data directly from Google Apps with Google Takeout (https://
www.google.com/settings/takeout). Once downloaded to a home computer, this data can then be uploaded to a new
personal or university Google account in order to access saved documents, gmail, calendar, and websites.
While ISD728 does not own or directly support this tool, we want to let you know it is available. Graduates’ @isd728.org
account will be removed on August 1st – Be sure to download or migrate any data you would like to keep prior to this.
