Press in on the notch and slide the cover down. 2.Place the batteries in the correct polarity. 3.Replace the battery cover and slide it up into place. 4.Use the base AC adapter to connect the power jack on the base to a standard AC power outlet. If you have two or more handsets, connect each charger in the same way. 5.Place a handset in the base with the display facing forward. For two or more handsets, place each handset in a charger. Charge all handsets completely (about 15 hours) before using them. Getting to know your phone parts of the base FIND In standby: page all handsets to find a lost one. Charging cradle UP During a call: increase the volume. In any menu or list: move to the previous item. In standby: open the call log. When entering text: move the cursor to the left. MENU/OK In standby: open the menu. In any menu or list: select and confirm the selection. TALK/RECALL In standby: start a telephone call (get a dial tone). While the phone is ringing: answer an incoming call. During a call: switch to a waiting call. * In standby: press and hold for about 3 sec. to lock/unlock the keypad REDIAL In standby: open the redial list. MUTE During a call: mute the microphone on or off CLEAR /ESC In a menu: go back to the previous screen. When entering text: delete one character. (Press and hold to delete all the characters.) END Press and hold to turn the handset on or off. During a call: hang up. DOWN During a call: decrease the volume. In any menu or list: move to the next item. In standby: open the phonebook. INTERCOM In standby: page another handset for a internal call. During a call: page another handset to transfer the call. parts of the handset Display icons and what they mean OK On: you have a strong signal from the base. Blinking: the signal from the base is weak or not received. The handset is on a call. The alarm on this handset is activated. The ringer is turned off. On: you have records in the call log. Blinking: you have missed calls. The handset opens the phonebook. You have a voice message waiting. The battery is fully charged. On: the battery is getting low. Blinking: the battery is empty. To select and confirm the selection, press MENU/OK. To rotate through the items, Press UP or DOWN. To go back to the previous screen, press CLEAR / ESC To check more information, press CLEAR / ESC repeatedly. Using extra handsets Your base supports a total of 5 handsets, including any that were supplied with your phone. Handsets that came packaged with the base are already registered. Your phone is GAP compatible, which means you can register other DECT GAP compatible handsets to your base, and you can register your handset to other DECT GAP compatible bases. (The GAP connection allows minimum functions.) Your handset can only be used with one base at any time. To register or de-register the handset in this package, see page 7 . To enter text on your phone To... To switch between the current and waiting call, press TALK/RECALL. To use the phonebook Each handset can store up to 20 entries in its phonebook. To create a new phonebook entry 1.In standby, enter a phone number (up to 24 digits). 2.Press MENU/OK. The phone prompts you to enter a name and edit the number, and select a special ringer tone for that entry. To make a call from the phonebook 1.In standby, press DOWN( ) . Use UP and DOWN to find a entry. (To check the entry's information, press MENU/OK repeatedly.) 2.Press TALK/RECALL to dial. To edit or delete phonebook entries Open the menu. Select PHONEBOOK ... To use the alarm feature You can set an alarm on each handset. You need to set the date and time before using the alarm feature. When the time on the handset reaches the time on the setting, the handset sounds for 1 minute. (Other handsets and the base don't ring.) To stop the alarm tone, press any key on the handset. When an alarm is set, the alarm icon ( ) appears on the display. To set the alarm Open the menu. Select CLOCK & ALARM ALARM ONCE, DAILY, or OFF. To set the alarm tone Open the menu. Select CLOCK & ALARM ALARM TONE. If you want to change the base PIN (default 0000) Open the menu. Select ADVANCED SET CHANGE PIN. Enter the current PIN and press MENU/OK. Then enter the new PIN and press MENU/OK. If you want to add a new handset Register the handset. If you see 'UNREGISTERED' on the display, the handset is ready to register. 1.On the base, press and hold FIND for about 5 seconds with the phone in standby. 2.On the handset you want to register, open the menu. Select ADVANCED SET REGISTER. 3.Enter the PIN (default 0000) and press MENU/OK. If you want to de-register the handset 1.Open the menu. Select ADVANCED SET UNREGISTER. 2.Enter the PIN (default 0000) and press MENU/OK. 3.Find the handset you want to de-register and press MENU/OK. If you want to connect the phone to a PBX You may need to change the Recall Time setting. Open the menu. Select ADVANCED SET RECALL TIME SHORT, MEDIUM, or LONG. If you want to reset your phone to the factory default settings Open the menu. Select ADVANCED SET RESET. To confirm, press MENU/OK. To… Select... edit an entry EDIT ENTRY. Use UP/DOWN to find an entry, and press MENU/OK. delete an entry DELETE. Use UP/DOWN to find an entry, and press MENU/OK. delete all entries DELETE ALL. To confirm, press MENU/OK. To use multi-handset features To use these features, you must have at least two handsets (see page 3). To make an internal call To page another handset To answer the page 1.Press TALK/RECALL. 2.When the transferring handset hangs up, you can talk to the outside caller. 1.During a call, press INTERCOM. GETTING STARTED
installing your phone
charge the battery
1.Remove a battery cover. Press in on the notch and slide the cover down.
2.Place the batteries in the correct polarity.3.Replace the battery cover and slide it up into place.

Installer votre tlphone
Charger la pile
1.Enlevez le couvercle de pile. Enfoncez sur l'entaille et glissez le couvercle vers le bas.
2.Mettez les piles la polarit correcte.3.Remplacez le couvercle de pile et le glissez vers le haut en place.
4.Utilisez l'adapteur CA de base pour connecter la fiche d'alimentation sur la
base l'embase d'alimentation CA normale.
Si vous possdez deux ou plus de combins, connectez chaque chargeur de
mme faon.
5.Mettez un combin dans la base avec l'cran en avant. Pour deux ou plus de combins, mettez chaque combin dans un chargeur.
Chargez tous les combins compltement (15 heures environ)
avant d'utiliser.

Clignotant: vous avez manqu les appels.
Le combin ouvre l'annuaire.
Vous avez un message vocal d'attente.
La pile est charge compltement.
On: la pile devient faible.
Clignotant: la pile est vide.
Pour slectionner et confirmer le choix, appuyez sur MENU/OK.
Pour tourner par les lments, appuyez sur HAUT ou BAS.
Pour retourner l'cran prcdent, appuyez sur EFFACER / ESC

Pour vrifier plus d'information, appuyez sur EFFACER / ESC de
Utiliser extra combins Votre base supporte un total de 5 combins, y compris celui qui t fourni
avec votre tlphone.
Les combins tant emballs avec la base sont dj enregistrs.
Votre tlphone est GAP compatible, en indiquant que vous pouvez
enregistrer d'autres combins DECT GAP compatibles votre base, et vous
pouvez enregistrer votre combin d'autres bases DECT GAP compatibles
(La connexion GAP permet les fonctions minimales).
Votre combin ne peut tre utilis qu'avec une base en tout moment.

Si vous recevez l'attente d'appel, le tlphone sonne une tonalit.
Pour commuter entre l'appel actuel et l'appel d'attente, appuyez sur
PAROLE/RAPPELER.

Chaque combin peut sauvegarder jusqu' 20 entres dans son annuaire.
Pour crer une nouvelle entre d'annuaire
1.En mode d'attente, saisissez un numro de tlphone (jusqu' 24 chiffres). 2.Appuyez sur MENU/OK. Le tlphone vous demande de saisir un nom et d'diter le numro, puis de slectionner une tonalit de sonnerie spciale pour
cette entre.
To faire un appel partir de l'annuaire
1.En mode d'attente, appuyez sur BAS( ). Utilisez HAUT et BAS pour trouver une entre.
(Pour vrifier l'information d'entre, appuyez sur MENU/OK de faon rpte.)
2.Appuyez sur PAROLE/RAPPELER pour composer.Pour diter ou supprimer les entres d'annuaire

1.Pendant un appel, appuyez sur INTERCOM. Appuyez sur la touche numrique du combin.
(Pour annuler, appuyez sur INTERCOM de nouveau.)
2.Pour terminer le transfert, appuyez sur TERMINER.
Pour commencer un appel de confrence, attendez les
rponses de combin pagines, puis appuyez sur et
maintenez INTERCOM.

En mode d'attente, appuyez sur INTERCOM. Si vous possdez deux ou plus de combins, appuyez sur la touche numrique du combin. (Pour annuler, appuyez sur INTERCOM de nouveau.)

Pour laisser un appel interne, appuyez sur TERMINER.
Pour utiliser les caractristiques d'alarme
Vous pouvez configurer une alarme sur chaque combin. Vous devez configurer la date
et le temps avant d'utiliser les caractristiques d'alarme.
Lorsque le temps sur le combin atteint le temps sur les configurations, le combin sonne pendant 1 minute. (D'autres combins et la base ne sonnent pas.)
Pour arrter la tonalit d'alarme, appuyez sur toute touche sur le combin. Aprs avoir configur une alarme, l'icne d'alarme ( ) montre sur l'cran.Pour configurer l'alarme
Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez HORLOGE & ALARME ALARME UNE FOIS,
QUOTIDIEN, ou OFF.
Pour configurer la tonalit d'alarme
Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez HORLOGE & ALARME TONALIT D'ALARME.
Si vous voulez changer le PIN de base (par dfaut 0000)
Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez CONFIGURATION AVANCE CHANGER PIN.
Saisissez le PIN actuel et appuyez sur MENU/OK. Puis saisissez le nouveau PIN et
appuyez sur MENU/OK.
Si vous voulez ajouter un nouveau combin
Register the handset. If you see 'NON INSCRIT' sur l'cran, le combin est prt
enregistrer.
1.Sur la base, appuyez sur et maintenez TROUVER pendant 5 secondes environ avec le tlphone en mode d'attente.
2.Sur le combin que vous voulez enregistrer, ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez CONFIGURATION AVANCE ENREGISTRER.
3.Saisissez le PIN (par dfaut 0000) et appuyez sur MENU/OK.Si vous voulez d-enregistrer le combin
1.Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez CONFIGURATION AVANCE DENREGISTRER.2.Saisissez le PIN (par dfaut 0000) et appuyez sur MENU/OK.3.Trouvez le combin que vous voulez d-enregistrer et appuyez sur MENU/OK.Si vous voulez connecter le tlphone un PBX
Vous devez changer les configurations de Temps de Rappel.
Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez CONFIGURATION AVANCE TEMPS DE RAPPEL
COURT, MDIUM, ou LONG.
Si vous voulez remettre votre tlphone aux configurations d'usine par dfaut
Ouvrez le menu. Slectionnez CONFIGURATION AVANCE RECONFIGURER. Pour
confirmer, appuyez sur MENU/OK.
