TeacherCandidateResponsibilities
TheclinicalpracticewillbeginonthefirstdayofRowanUniversity'ssemesterandendonthelastdayRowan
University'ssemester.Duringthisperiod,candidatesareexpectedtocarryoutthefollowingresponsibilities.
1. Toprepareandsendalettertoparentsintroducinghim/herandhis/herresponsibilities.
2. Toplan25consecutivedaysoffull-timeteaching.
3. Tomaintainweeklylogsofclinicalpracticeeveryweek.
4. TocompleteallassignmentsincludingedTPAontimeasprofessionalrepresentationsofhis/her
abilitytoplan,teach,manage,andevaluateintheclassroom.
5. Toplanweeklyteachingschedulewiththecooperatingteacherinadvanceandsendtheuniversity
supervisorofacopybydesignatedday.Supervisorwillvisittheplacementsiteapproximatelyeveryother
week.However,the exactscheduleofthesupervisor'svisitissubjecttochangedependingoninfluencing
conditions.
6. Iffullformatlearningexperienceplansfailtomeettheprofessionalexpectations,yoursupervisors
mayaskforadditionalfullformalplans. Alllessonplansmustbeapprovedandinitialedbythecooperating
teacherbeforeteaching.Withtheteacher'sapproval,prepareteachingmaterials.Sendtheuniversity
