Thistypically costs around £3.50 for twohours. Payment is by coin or debit/creditcard. Parking in the North Road carpark is £5.00 per day. (Charges for citycentre multi-storey car parks varyconsiderably, up to £18.00 per day.)
The Heath Park campus – Limited carparking is available in various car parks.
By Rail / Coach / BusHigh speed inter-city trains providefrequent services between all majorBritish cities. The Cardiff-London service,from London Paddington, runs at 30minute intervals throughout the day.Frequent services also connect Cardiffwith Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton,Manchester, Liverpool and with manyother cities and towns. Cardiff is alsoserved by regular coach services fromtowns and cities across the UK. FromCardiff Central Station there is afrequent train service which stops atCathays Station (located on the CathaysPark campus). Local bus services alsooperate from Cardiff Central Station.
The Cathays Park campus – The No 27service leaves Hayes Bridge Roadevery 10 minutes throughout the day.
The Heath Park campus – The No 86service leaves Stand C5. The Nos 8, 9and 9a leave from Wood Street.
By AirCardiff Airport is 11 miles from the citycentre. Coach and train servicesoperate between Cardiff CentralStation and London’s Heathrow andGatwick airports.

By RoadCardiff is served by the M4 and is easilyaccessible from all parts of Britain. Fromthe south west, take the M5 and fromthe south of England, follow majorA-roads to the M4. From Scotland,the north of England and the Midlands,travel via the M50 to the M4.
Travelling east on the M4. Leave themotorway at Junction 32, follow theA470, sign-posted City Centre.
The Cathays Park campus – Followthe A470 towards the city centreand the University is sign-posted.
The Heath Park campus – Follow theA470 as far as Gabalfa Interchange.Take first exit onto the A48 (EasternAvenue), sign-posted Newport and theM4, but immediately exit at the sliproad on the left. This leads directlyonto the University Hospital site.
Travelling west on the M4. Leave themotorway at Junction 29, follow theA48(M)/A48, sign-posted Cardiff Eastand the South. Continue forapproximately seven miles.
The Cathays Park campus – Continuealong the A48 to the A470 (GabalfaInterchange). Leave the A48 atGabalfa Interchange and take theA470, sign-posted city centre. Followthe A470 towards the city centre andthe University is sign-posted.
The Heath Park campus – On theA48, speed reductions will benoticeable from 50 to 40mph. At thistime the University Hospital will bevisible on the right. Exit the next sliproad, sign-posted “UniversityHospital” and turn right at the trafficlights along a short road leadingdirectly onto the University Hospital site.
