Route 3: Interlude between Rhône and SaôneAre you looking for an evening filled with light projects outside the Presqu’île district? You’re on the right pathway! From Tête d’Or Park, to the Rhône riverbanks, Croix-Rousse and the Saône quays, enjoy an entertaining evening on the trail of luminous projects.

Wander among amazing installation, student experiments, interactive works and monumental projections, all in a warm, convivial atmosphere.

Some advice before you leave:

For cozy comfort at the Festival of Lights: As you can well imagine, it’s cold in winter in Lyon, and you’ll often have to stand in place. To cope with possible bad weather and cover lots of kilome-ters, forget about being a fashion plate: put on your earmuffs, parka, mittens and gloves and, above all, trade your high-heels for a pair of all-terrain boots!

For a Festival of Lights without stress: prefer Sunday, December 7, and Monday, December 8, for an easier flow, especially if your children are with you on this excursion.

For a traditional Festival of Lights: If you are a resident of Lyon, put candles in the windows of your home, your workplace and your school on Monday, December 8, to perpetuate this Lyon tradition.

Strollers are not recommended for this pathway because there are lots of stairs and going up and down! Choose a baby backpack for your little ones instead.

Walk about 500 meters, and then turn back and exit the tunnel

Take the hairpin-curve pedestrian walkway located a few meters after the entrance/exit and go through the underground passageway

When you exit the passageway, turn left and walk a few meters

Turn right on De Lattre de Tassigny Bridge and stay on the right-hand side At the end of the bridge, turn right in front of the Croix-Rousse non-motorized traffictunnel
