The goal of the Lamination + Bend project was to start by designing the facade. The affect in the project pre-sented is bending, while the tectonic is laminated. After the facade was designed, a program was chosen to be put inside the building. This build-ing contains a design studio along with a three-story high art gallery.

LAMINATATION + BEND
The images on this page show several parts and -
age shows how the building is put together. Next,
the last two images are renderings of the interior of the building, as well as the exterior of the building.
URBAN NETWORK
The following strategies were implemented within the design to create a successful bridge:
- Easy to travel bridge with plenty of opportunities for views - The winding and curving steel pieces were used to create an interesting and pleasing experience- A range of gray colors were used to match the urban environment surrounding the bridge- A 10 ft. wide bridge with an overhang, to protect from weather, would create a comfortable experience for pedestrians
BEACH HOUSE
The beach house project had a simple objective; basically, design a summer vacation house for a family of four. The house must be above the tree line to receive venti-lation, and it also must have privacy between the parents and children.

year is 2050 and to take an abandoned oil rig and to transform it into a surf station. The surface station that was designed was placed off the coast of Los Angeles. The design was based
The renderings show the contrast of the -
id form of the facade. Also, the surf sta-tion is sustainable because the steel fa-cade is made from the recycled steel that was reused from the existing oil rig.
GRESHAM SMITH COMPETITION
The Gresham Smith project was a design competition. The goal of the project was to create a community center in Indianpolis, which would honor the late Julia Carson. This was a partner proj-ect. As an individual, I was responsible for scheduling and keep-ing our team on task. Understanding the technology and the site of the building was another task that I undertook. Finally, I was re-sponsible for the development of many the project’s renderings.
-ing aspects that our project include is the building technology. The main facade of the build-ing has a “garage door” feel to it. The wall basically opens up to the outside creating a very nice space for events such as a weekend farmers market. Just beyond the entrance, our team developed a living wall, which created clean air and an interesing architectural feature.

Design a net-zero house to be placed in a vacant lot in a Muncie, Indiana neighborhood. My project takes an in-depth look at the importance of designing a building with a tight envelope. The wall I designed has an R-Vaule of over 20. The project helped educate me on many sutain-
