MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING Date: September 5, 2019 Members Present: Evelyn Chapman, Ken Meeker, Bob Munger, Judy Munger, Marv Slifman, Rod Weick. Meeting called to order at: 7:00 AM Secretary’s Report: August 8 Board meeting: Judy Munger moved to adopt; Evelyn Chapman 2 nd : Passed August 12 Budget meeting: Judy Munger moved to adopt; Marv Slifman 2 nd : Passed Treasurer’s Report: Marv Slifman moved to Adopt; Ken Meeker 2 nd : Passed Administrative Account: $7,332.27 Service Account: $7,847.85 Approval for Payment of Bills: $8.95 to Creative Resources for engraving on Kiwanian of the Year trophy; $4.00 to PNW Kiwanis for perfect attendance tabs. Bob Munger moved to approve; Judy Munger 2 nd : Passed Committee Reports: Annual Membership Dues: All invoices have been sent out. Mike Karsted’s report indicated that 11 members have paid. Status of Discussion on Club Traditions: Since Rod Weick will be absent for several meetings in September, we decided to defer this discussion with the membership until October. Key Club Advisers: Rod Weick will be relocating to Boise in October but will remain a member of this club. Therefore, Gary Pope will be the single adviser for Madison High School Key Club. John Flaherty and Bob Munger will remain with Franklin Key Club and John Flaherty with David Douglas. Heidi-Ho Nuts: We anticipate the call for the nut order soon. Bob Munger will check with John Flaherty on the size of last year’s order. We expect to order about the same. We may also need to check with Marilyn Schultz. New Business: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

New Business:No Speaker Days: Bob Munger presented a calendar of meeting days that will not have a speaker scheduled or will be round table meetings. Judy Munger moved to approve; Ken Meeker 2nd: Passed

Other Business:President’s Remarks: Rod Weick thanked the board for a very productive year and commented on all that we accomplished not only as a board, but as a club. Special thanks to Evelyn Chapman for her work on Sunday Parkways, Judy Munger for her work on the wine raffle and photo ID, and especially for Steve Maxwell’s efforts in spite his illness. Rod expressed his hope that we could expand Terrific Kids into Lewis Elementary and Marysville Elementary Schools.
