Upgrade Ross-Ade Stadium? Jarrett Lundy

At Ross-Ade, bleachers are a majority of the seating available. As seen in the picture they continue and wrap all the way around. This makes for a uncomfortable seating experience.

Purdue’s football stadium is arranged in the same way as Ohio State, however the part not officially connected to the rest of the horse-shoe is significantly smaller then that of Ohio State.

Ohio State’s end that is similar to ours’ is significantly larger then ours. Both picture are looking at the similar parts of the stadium yet the size difference is drastic.

Only one entrance for each section really cramps the stadium, which is essentially one deck. Another deck, or an entrance higher up as well, would really help the flow of fans into the stadium and prevent irritation before the game even starts.

The North end of the stadium has a very feeble scoreboard. It reminds me of a scoreboard any respectable high school would have at their football stadium. Another jumbotron isn’t really needed, just an upgrade scoreboard, that flashes scores from around the NCAA.

The South side scoreboard is a lot better then that of the north end scoreboard. It has the jumbotron in it, and it flashes scores and stats from the game and other games going on at the time around the NCAA. One of these on the North side as well would be a little much, but maybe a downsized version would be perfect.

The press boxes and other box seats, make the stadium a respectable stadium. They are relatively new, as one can see. If the same effort was put into the rest of the stadium as was put into the press boxes this stadium would be one of the best.

The upgrades that would be brought to the stadium would be great if the stadium would get a complete overhaul.

2008-2009 Purdue went 3-9, hopefully this wont happen again.
