NEWS FROM THE APO
Firstly, let me say well done for making it to the end of semester and good luck for your exams. Spend your time over the next few weeks wisely and take advantage of opportuni-ties for study groups and revision sessions. Double check your exam timetable and make sure you know exactly where you are meant to be and the right day and time for each exam. If something does happen that does affect your ability to study or attend an exam over the next few weeks, make sure you collect the appropriate documentation and sub-mit the appropriate forms as soon as possible (to Anne in the Williams Building at Rose-worthy or to the Faculty office at North Terrace).
See the exams website (http://www.adelaide.edu.au/student/exams/) for all the informa-tion you need. And remember, if you do need to sit a supplementary exam, these are held in the last week of holidays. A reminder to all students that commenced prior to 2011, the grade of CP no longer exists. Any mark below 49% will receive a F grade (with no mark next to it). Academic supplementary exams are at the discretion of the course co-ordinator - check your course profile for any course policy on the awarding of academic supplemen-tary exams. For any students leaving us at the end of this semester, all the best. Please keep in touch and let us know what you end up doing. Any student considering starting Honours in July and that have not yet applied, you can still do so - contact me for more information.
Enjoy your holidays and see you next semester.
There are already a number of events on the social calendar for next semester so be ready. Di Barton APO

EXAM TIPS REMINDER
Preparation - Organise your time, allow time to review all your courses and review past exam papers. Practicalities - Know where your exam is and how long it will take you to get there. Get plenty of sleep the night before the exam and avoid alcohol, caffeine and other drugs. Plan - Have a strategy for attacking the exam paper. Underline and highlight key words and phrases, allocate time to questions based on how much they are worth, do easy questions first and revise your answers! Don’t Panic - If you feel stressed during your exam breathe deeply into your belly letting it out slowly focusing on your breath (repeat 2 or 3 times) or tense and relax muscles (to a count of 10) in your feet, fist and arms. Practice these techniques prior to your exams as this will make them more effective during the exam. All the best for your exams and if your require any further advice information is available from the display in the main build-ing or contact Sally Polkinghorne (Student Advisor) on 37932 to make an appointment.
