RHS Volleyball - FACTS• Volleyball in the state of Minnesota is strong.• The SSC and 3AAA section continue to be in

the strongest in the state.• We have strong returning talent and a strong

incoming 9th grade class. • Rosemount Volleyball has become one of the

teams to beat rather than the underdog. • Our season is short and intense. It requires

preparation followed by intense commitment.

Player Expectations• Enter the season ready both mentally and physically.• Provide necessary equipment:

– T-shirts, shorts– Volleyball shoes and Knee pads– Running shoes for conditioning

• On time attendance at ALL team functions unless absence has been previously approved by coaches.

• Meet minimum volunteer requirements(season and off-season)

• No Gossip, No Whining, No Drama• Maintain academic eligibility and adhere to all MSHSL

policies and guidelines• Be Competitive, Respectful, Driven, Engaged and Open

Parent Expectations

• Support your daughters and her team.• Allow the coaches to coach.• Respect coaches, players, officials, other parents,

etc.• No Gossip at home, in the stands, at events.• Volunteer.

• Enter the season in great physical & mental shape.

• Be committed to developing and embracing Championship Behaviors.

• Work hard and play hard ALL the time.• Be open to change.• Be engaged in the success of your team.

• Current Physical on file at RHS• Registration Form Complete and RHS

Participation Fee Paid• This needs to be completed BEFORE

practice begins• Falls Sports packet will be mailed in

summer.• Registration begins August 1st

Season & Tryout Information

TryoutsMonday & Tuesday, August 17th & 18th

All Grades

8am – 11:30am & 1:00pm – 3:00pm

PracticeMonday – Friday

First MatchSaturday, August 29th / Tuesday, September 1st

Team Selection• Varsity

– Top players by position any grade– Non-starting Seniors who earn role position– 10 to 15 players

• JV– Non-Seniors that have potential to play Varsity.– 10 – 12 players

• 10th Grade/B Team– 10th Graders that do not make Varsity and JV. – 9 – 12 players

• 9A & 9B Teams– 9th Graders only– 18 to 20 players

Volleyball Open Gyms

• Provide players the opportunity to improve throughout the summer, form bonds with other players, and to motivate each other.

• Focused on skill development not strength & conditioning.

• Monday & Wednesday 7:45 am – 9:45 am• June 16th through July 30th

Booster Club• Non-profit organization that supports the RHS

Volleyball program by:– Coordinating events that improve the overall experience for players

and parents (Senior night, tournament snacks, alumni game, Leprechaun Days parade etc.)

– Provide funding necessary to operate the RHS Volleyball program. Including coaches, balls, uniforms, equipment, and events.

– Coordinate fundraising efforts like Presidents Day and other tournaments, Cub bagging, program sponsors and other donations, etc.

• Parent Volunteers and Donations are key to the Booster Club’s and our program’s success!.

• Meetings are first Monday of each month, 7:00 pm at T.O.P.S. Pizza. All Parents are welcome.
