Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Adolescent Campus MISSION Rosecrance provides help, hope and lasting recovery to children, youth, adults and families. BRIEF HISTORY Rosecrance was founded in New Milford, IL, in 1916 as an orphanage for boys. The organization’s mission evolved through the years to meet the changing needs of society. Since the early 1980s, Rosecrance has specialized in providing substance abuse treatment services and now is recognized nationally for excellence in the field. Rosecrance operates the largest residential addiction treatment center for adolescents in Illinois and the state’s only licensed onsite detoxification program for teens. The adult campus for residential treatment is one of the largest in the state. All programs are evidence-based and grounded in the 12 Steps. In 2011, Rosecrance merged with a community mental health services provider in Winnebago County, creating one of the state’s most comprehensive behavioral health networks. In 2016, Rosecrance opened its recovery home and outpatient clinic in the historic Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. Also on that date, Rosecrance expanded in Champaign/Urbana, IL. SERVICES DELIVERED Rosecrance provides comprehensive treatment services for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders, including nationally recognized, evidence-based residential treatment with an emphasis on co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders and specialty residential programs for adolescents and young adults facing mood and anxiety disorders or trauma. Residential treatment is supported by additional services including detoxification, recovery homes, veterans’ programs, prevention and early intervention programs, criminal justice and specialty court programs, and alumni services. Mental health expertise extends beyond outpatient treatment with supportive housing and crisis services. VISION Lasting recovery helps individuals achieve full potential, restores families, and strengthens communities.
