GRAND KNIGHT’s CORNER Brother Knights, can you believe it that November is already here? Before you
know it, we will soon be celebrating the birth of our Lord. I want to take this time to point out two important activities for November, the Coats for Kids and the Silver Rose. Last year we purchased three boxes of coats that we donated to two local schools. This year instead of buying coats we are asking for donated coats to distribute to local schools. Our goal is 36 coats from each parish. Look for donation boxes at your church. On November 7th the Silver Rose will be transferred from council 11909 to 1287. The transfer will take place at 1630 hours at the corner of Gore and 52nd where it will be carried to Blessed Sacrament. A special service will be held at 1900 hours led by Deacon Quinnett. Please join in this spiritual example of Faith as revealed by the Blessed Mother and take part in carrying the Silver Rose to Blessed Sacrament Church.

CORPORATION NEWS
We have completed our outside kitchen wall repairs. The labor was $300.00 and the materials were almost the same price. We ended up using 16 tubes of caulk to seal everything, 10 pounds of screws to tighten everything, and $20.00 worth of wood. Using our military discount, we saved $40.00. All we have now is to touch up the front porch and paint the new wood on the outside of the kitchen wall.

SILVER ROSE
Each year, from early March through mid-December, Silver Roses are stewarded by Knights of Columbus councils along routes from Canada to Mexico. Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners and community members to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On November 7th our Council will receive the Silver Rose from Council 11909. To that end, meet in the parking plaza at the corner of Gore and 52nd at 1630 hours to handle the transfer of the Silver Rose. Council #1287 will then transport (walk/run) the Silver Rose to Blessed Sacrament. Church services for the will be at 1900 hours at Blessed Sacrament conducted by Deacon Quinnett. MEDITATION
"Now, may our God be our hope. He Who made all things is better than all things. He Who made all beautiful things is more beautiful than all of them. He Who made all mighty things is more mighty than all of them. He Who made all great things is greater than all of them. Learn to love the Creator in His creature, and the maker in what He has made."
— Saint Augustine

LADIES AUXILIARY NEWS
It was decided that the November meeting would be a "get together" Christmas party at Flo Koger's house. We will all bring food to eat and we will play games and have fun. Almost all the ladies have paid their dues - good news. Jeannette and Jesci have been working very hard on the Oklahoma Knights State Convention April 24-26, 2020, sure is a lot of work. We are looking forward to it and will be glad when all is done.
