Awareness raising trip to
Dinorwig, hydroelectric power station

• 1800Megawatt Hydroelectric power station.
• 16KM of tunnels
• Generator room which could fit St. Paul's Cathedral in it.
Successes • Created debates about University and
personal working practices.• Raised the profile of both the ECCILES project and JISC.• Brought together Support and Academic staff and students.• Resulted in 40% of people who attended would look to conserve energy and 88% of people wanted to become part of a green focus group tackling green issues at the University.
