The actual functional membrane, a high-permeance polyethylene film, is protected by a non-woven sheet that is tear-proof and UV-resistant. It is waterproof and protects the roofing underlay from harm in the event of any accidental infiltrations by water or snow. It is also airtight and contributes effectively to optimising the performance of the heat insulation for the roof. The membrane can be fitted in direct contact with the insulation. This allows you to save 20mm space compared with a non-breathable membrane, which needs a gap of 20mm underneath for ventilation purposes. The lower side, lined with a protective non-woven fabric layer, is also guaranteed to be easy and safe to fit to a timber shell. Please follow the fitting instructions. In terms of fire safety, the AEROMAX R2 membrane is not intended to constitute the ceilings of buildings occupied for residential purposes or establishments open to the public. AEROMAX R3 PREMIUM is composed of 3 layers of 100% polyolefin.The actual functional membrane, a high-permeance polyethylene film, is protected by a non-woven sheet that is tear-proof and UV-resistant. It is waterproof and protects the roofing underlay from harm in the event of any accidental infiltrations by water or snow. It is also airtight and contributes effectively to optimising the performance of the heat insulation for the roof, whilst simultaneously being easy and perfectly safe to fit, even on battens.
