[Enter ROMEO] Romeo- If I could trust the good and real truth of my dreams, They feel some good news is coming at hand, My heart’s lord rests calmly in his throne, And suddenly strange air of a spirit, Brings me up to life with happy thoughts. In my dream my lady came to see me and found me dead, Something so strange that left me thinking, Her soft kisses in my lips brought me back to life, And made me feel better than before, like if I was an emperor. Poor me! I’ve been trapped and possessed by sweet love, But in those images of love I find a lot of happiness. Enter Romeo’s man [Balthasar, booted] Do you have any news of Verona, Balthasar? Did you bring me any letters from the friar? What about from my lady? How is doing my father? And how is my Juliet? If she is doing well then nothing can be wrong. Balthasar- If she is all right then there’s nothing wrong, She’s laid in Capel’s Monument, Her soul lives with the angels, I saw her aside her tomb, And quickly came to you to tell you about it: O, man I am so sorry that I brought you this bad news, Romeo- so is it 100 percent true? If is it then I defy you my destiny. You know where my stuff is? I need some paper and ink. After that get me some horses, for later I will leave tonight. Balthasar- I beg you, please be patient, You seem to be pale and wild, It seems that you had a bad day. Romeo- Puff, you’ve lied to me, Leave me, and do what I tell you, Have you any letters for me from the friar? Balthasar- I’m afraid I have none.
