Cause 1:“Hie you to church; I must another way,
To fetch a ladder, by the which your love
Must climb a bird’s nest soon when its dark.”
II, v, 71-73
The nurse took part in letting Romeo and Juliet to be together, she even helped the secret couple.
Cause 2:“Your love says, like an honest gentleman,
And a courteous, and a kind, and a handsome,
And, I warrant, a virtuous…”
II, v, 54-56
The nurse acts as a messenger between Romeo and Juliet and does not discourage Juliet’s interest in him.
Cause 3:“I think you are happy with this second match,
For it excels your first;”
III, v, 222-223
The Nurse told Juliet that marrying Paris is better than her marriage to Romeo. This destroyed all of Juliet’s trust in her.
