ADVERTISER.COM.AU TUESDAY DECEMBER 23 2014 CONFIDENTIAL 29 V1 - ADVE01Z01MA Romantic Rory puts a ring on it C ROWS star Rory Sloane has popped the big question to his long-time love Belinda Riverso. The pair announced their engagement on Instagram yesterday, with Belinda posting a cute photo, inset, of the two of them in their car as they make their way to Melbourne for the Christmas holidays. She captioned the pic: “This year’s Christmas drive made more special after last night’s amazing surprise! #mrromantic #mybestfriend #somuchlove #luckygirl #fiance @rorysloane.” Both originally from Victoria, Rory and Belinda first met in Adelaide in 2011, though she was living in Melbourne at the time. The following year she moved to town as Rory’s footy career started to take off. The couple are a regular fixture at events around Adelaide, and the stunning Belinda is known as a star of the red carpet, dazzling annually at the Brownlow Medal and Crows best and fairest counts. Fan favourite Rory, who has played 100 games for the club in six seasons, is contracted to Adelaide until the end of next season, and there is mounting speculation he is close to re- signing with the Crows. Rory and Belinda’s happy news follows hot on the heels of the weekend’s other big engagement between Swans superstar Lance “Buddy” Franklin and model Jesinta Campbell. Everything is looking pozible for Quentin H ATS, or rather, wigs off to the legal ladies and lads at Dun- can Basheer Hannon. The legal firm has come to the party as the major sponsor of local filmmaker Quentin Kenihan’s one-man show This is 40 ... Now What? which will premiere at the 2015 Adelaide Fringe and is being co-written by comedian Tim Fer- guson and music by Savage Gar- den’s Darren Hayes. The support means Quentin, pictured below with DBH lawyer Aleksandra Spasojevic has achieved his Pozible fundraising target of $10,000 and some. “I’ve written so much scandal into the show that I am going to need friends in high places so ap- proaching DBH was a no-brainer for me,” Quentin, who is turning the big 4-0 on February 27, says. This is 40 ... Now What? will run February 23-28 and March 9-14 at the Bakehouse Theatre with a fam- ily-friendly version early evening and an adults’ edition at 9pm.
