• Old kingdom of the Dacians, colonized by the Romans in the 2-end century A.C, situated in the South-Eastern Europe, Romania preserves even today unique testimonies regarding the Roman presence, mostly in what concern its Neolatin languages.

• Romania has a surface of 237500 sq.km, a population of 22 mil.inhabitans. The capital is Bucharest. From the administration point of view, Romania is divided in 41 district, parts of nine old historical provinces, Maramures, Bucovina, Moldova, Transilvania, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea.

• Romania is composed of two great regional complexes, liked by the Carpatian arch, one inside the arch, border by a montainous defence wall and the oder one outside the arch.
