Julius CaesarJulius Caesar conquered Rome, became dictator, but was assassinated by
the Roman Senate on March 15, 44 BC!
Shakespeare later wrote about his assassination and coined the phrase, “Beware the Ides
of March!”
Asterix and Obelix Comics are about a Gaul named Asterix (and his friend Obelix) who
try to conquer the Roman Empire!
