OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE, DISCIPLE AND MISSIONARY AMONG US

Dear brothers and sisters, God our Father shows us the love that He has for us in His Son Jesus Christ and, in addition, He blesses us in the person of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Holy Mary of Guadalupe. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Girl, the Maiden, the Woman of Nazareth. She is our Mother, always a disciple and a fervent missionary of God the Father. Let us contemplate the dark-skinned Lady of the Tepeyac as the perfect disciple who hears and meditates the Word; not only before becoming mother, but during her entire life. Indeed, By accepting God’s Almighty plan in her person, by obedience in the Faith , her love of God. Since the beginning, Mary fulfilled the work of becoming the first and great disciple, whom continued to do the mission of her son by forming disciples. As she gave birth to the light of the world, Our Savior, she brought the gospel to the Americas. When Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to the humble St. Juan Diego, it was the event that opened the door to the hearts of many. Since then there have been uncountable communities that have found that She is the inspiration to many missionaries and disciples of Jesus.

The Virgen of Guadalupe, Our sweet Lady of Heaven, has showed us the value of our culture in where the seeds of truth grow. Our lady of Guadalupe, is also the missionary of our Diocese of Phoenix; she has been given the title Patroness of the diocese by Pope Paul VI since December 2nd,1969. I would say she chose to be our protection and to stay with us. In these days, lets unite our hearts to our Virgen Mary of Guadalupe, together we can also be missionaries in the Lords Kingdom in our Parish communities and in our families.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE Morenita (Brown skinned little one) , It has been five centuries since we have known about your Son Almighty , we have not been able to correspond the privilege of his mercy, our faith as believers tends to be at times as diffi-cult as those that are non believers, who do not have faith or await and have hope. You know very well, Our lady and child that we must show better fruit of our faith through signs of our faith, hope and love by professing a true God revealed through Jesus Christ. At times, Sweet Mother, we might give you sorrow through our cowardness and infidelities in who we conduct our all of aspects of our daily lives; how we manage our economic, political, labor, family life and even our faith. We still need so much in order to do be just and have the equality in our environment. The constant violence we suffer is only the manifestation of many other violence and injustices your most vulnerable and poor children suffer. Look at our families whom are attacked by humanity, egoism, pleasure and whom want to liberated us from what is sacred. We are constantly attacked by a free love, divorce, misunderstanding of family planning, abortion, infanticide, and an erroneous deviation of feminism. Look Sweet Mother at our families which fade away due to the charms of the world. Help us believed in love, unity , keep us away from danger, perversion, division and help our children, adolescents, youth, have feelings of love , respect, and to care about Life. Sweet Lady and Mother of the America, our prayer is to also those responsible of different nations that govern this continent, give them the wisdom so no one will lack the necessary to live a dignified life; health, education, work, shelter and daily needs to live. Morenita of Tepeyac, look at your children , especially the migrant, whom have left their land to look for better opportunities in life, have found pain, loneliness, sickness , discrimination and abuse. Motivate these children and their effort, so that they find joy in Your Son. In the nostalgia of being away from home, that they remember what brought them to be strangers in land unknown to them, comfort them so they can continue to walk in your grace and that we find solidarity in your Son. Listen Mother to the cries and heal all the afflictions of the body , souls and spirit. Mother do not forget about those that are deprived of their freedom, whom are found in prison. Hand Carved Wood from the Holy Land! December 15 & 16 (After all the Masses)

Please stop by the tables of Nativity Sets, Rosaries, Statues, Crucifixes, Charms, etc. Ayman Khair will be here representing about 180 Christian families from Bethlehem. These families have been dependent upon sales of their hand carved religious articles to tourists of the Holy Land. Due to the conflict in the Middle East, the tourism has been cut off. In order to survive, they have turned to Christian communities in the United States to purchase their articles. These hand carved religious articles are beyond description. Carved from wood of the sacred Olive tree, this workmanship has been traditional for these families for hundreds of years. It is hoped that through the efforts of Mr. Khair these families will have a little income and be able to stay living in the Holy Land. Amazingly enough, the Christian population dropped in this area from 22% to less than 2% in the last 30 years. Thank you in advance for your support!

MARÍA DE GUADALUPE, DISCÍPULA Y MISIONERA ENTRE NOSOTROS

Muy queridos hermanos, Dios nuestro Padre nos muestra el amor que nos tiene en su Hijo Jesucristo y además, nos bendice en la persona de la Virgen María, Santa María de Guadalupe. La Virgen María de Guadalupe es la Niña, la Doncella, la Mujer de Nazaret, Ella es nuestra Madre, es siempre una discípula y misionera ferviente de Dios Padre. Contemplemos a la Morenita del Tepeyac como la perfecta discípula que escucha y medita la Palabra; no solamente antes de ser madre, sino durante toda su vida. En efecto, al aceptar el proyecto del Altísimo sobre su persona, manifestó una relación profunda con Él fundada en la obediencia de la fe y el amor a Dios. Desde el principio, María cumplió la tarea de ser la primera y "gran misionera, continuadora de la misión de su Hijo y formadora de misioneros. Ella, así como dio a luz al Salvador del mundo, trajo el Evangelio a nuestra América. En el acontecimiento Guadalupano, presidió, junto al humilde Juan Diego, el Pentecostés que nos abrió a los dones del Espíritu. Desde entonces, son incontables las comunidades que han encontrado en Ella la inspiración más cercana para aprender como discípulos y misioneros de Jesús". La Virgen Guadalupe, la Dulce Señora del Cielo, nos ha enseñado el valor de nuestras culturas, como los lugares donde se dan ya las semillas de la verdad. La Virgen de Guadalupe, es también misionera en ésta Diócesis de Phoenix; que fue establecida el 2 de diciembre de 1969 por el Papa Pablo VI, pues ella fue elegida como patrona de nuestra Diócesis, o mejor dicho; la Virgen de Guadalupe, nuestra Madre, eligió ser la protectora de ésta, nuestra Diócesis de Phoenix. En estos días de celebración, unámonos a la Virgen María de Guadalupe para, juntos, ser misioneros del Reino en nuestra comunidad parroquial y en nuestra familia.

ORACION A LA VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE

Tú, Morenita, sabes muy bien que, a pesar de tener ya más de cinco siglos de conocer a tu Hijo santísimo, no hemos sabido corresponder a este privilegio de la misericordia de Dios, pues nuestra vida de creyentes no es muchas veces diferente de la vida de los que no creen ni esperan. Conoces muy bien, Señora y Niña nuestra, que debemos dar todavía más signos convincentes de nuestra fe, de nuestra esperanza y del amor que decimos profesar al verdadero Dios revelado por Jesucristo. Tal vez, Madrecita nuestra, te demos pena por nuestras cobardías e infidelidades con que nos conducimos en la vida económica, política, laboral, familiar e incluso religiosa. Falta mucho, lo sabes muy bien, por hacer para lograr la equidad y la justicia en nuestros ambientes. La violencia que sufrimos no es otra cosa que manifestación de muchas violencias que sufren tus hijos más pequeños y pobres. Mira a nuestras familias, bombardeadas por el mismo hombre, ese hombre egoísta y ciego de placer, que quiere una liberación de los lazos sagrados que el Señor le puso. Bombardeada por el amor libre, por el divorcio, por una mal entendida planificación familiar, por el aborto, por el infanticidio, por una desviada liberación femenina. Mira dulce Madre a nuestras familias, muchas de ellas se desvanecen ante el falso encanto del mundo. Concédeles crecer en amor y unidad, aleja de ellas todo peligro, perversión y división, suscita en nuestros niños, adolescentes y nuestros jóvenes sentimientos de amor, respeto y cuidado hacia la vida. Dulce Señora y Madre de América, nuestra oración quiere mirar también a los responsables de los destinos de las naciones, especialmente los que gobiernan los pueblos de este gran continente, dales sabiduría y acierto en su gobierno, para que nadie carezca de lo más necesario para vivir dignamente, como lo es la salud, la educación, el trabajo, la vivienda y el sustento. Morenita del Tepeyac, mira de manera especial a tus hijos e hijas, nuestros hermanos migrantes, que habiendo dejando su tierra buscando nuevas y mejores oportunidades de vida, se han encontrado con el dolor, la soledad, la enfermedad, la discriminación y los abusos. Anímalos en el esfuerzo, suscita en ellos la alegría de tu presencia. Que en la nostalgia de la tierra recuerden qué los llevó a ser extranjeros en otra tierra y revitalizados y confortados con renovado empeño sigan caminando con tu gracia y nuestra solidaridad buscando hacer tu voluntad de tu hijo. Escucha Madrecita las quejas, penas y lamentos y cura todos los males de los que sufren en el cuerpo, en el alma o en el espíritu. No te olvides de nuestros hermanos y hermanas que están privados de su libertad que se encuentran en los reclusorios, muchos de ellos a consecuencia de la injusticia, la corrupción y la mentira. Atiende, Madre, a nuestras súplicas y ven en nuestro auxilio para que con nuestro testimonio de solidaridad evangélica, ayudemos a que los más pobres y necesitados vuelvan a tener esperanza y deseen la salvación. Como tú educaste y acompañaste a tu Hijo, el verdaderísimo Dios por quien se vive, acompaña a la Iglesia para que siga, como madre solícita, trayendo a la vida y alimentando a muchos con los sacramentos y la práctica viva de la caridad. Que tu presencia maternal sea para nosotros una profunda motivación para fortalecer los vínculos fraternos entre todos tus hijos. Que la presencia de tu Hijo, a quien sirves con gozo y amor en la libertad, sea para nosotros la razón del perdón y la reconciliación entre nosotros, para que no nos peleemos más por defender mezquinos intereses. Que el ejemplo de tu Hijo que no vino a ser servido sino a servir, sea, para los que más tienen, razón más que suficiente para ponerse al servicio de los que menos tienen. Que vivamos como hijos tuyos formando una sola familia más igualitaria como lo exige la dignidad de los hijos de Dios. Alcanza, en fin, Señora nuestra, María de Guadalupe, para todos los que te reconocemos como Madre e intercesora, la gracia de ser verdaderos misioneros como tú para anunciar, con la palabra y con la vida, la maravillas que el Poderoso ha hecho con nosotros y de esta forma demos gloria al único y verdadero Dios por quien y para quien todo vive. Amén.

Madera tallada de Tierra Santa!

Los esperamos el 15 y 16 de diciembre después de todas las misas

Ayman Khair viene representando a unas 180 familias cristianas de Belén. Estas familias han dependido de la venta de sus artículos religiosos tallados en madera a los turistas de Tierra Santa. Sin embargo, el conflicto en el Medio Oriente, se ha cortado el turismo. Para poder sobrevivir, estas familias han recurrido a las comunidades cristianas en los Estados Unidos para la venta de sus artículos. Estos artículos tallados a mano son difíciles de describir. Tallados de la madera del olivo sagrado, este trabajo ha sido tradicional para estas familias por cientos de años. Esperamos que a través de los esfuerzos del Sr. Khair estas familias puedan tener un poco de ingreso y puedan quedarse a vivir en la Tierra Santa. Sorprendentemente, la población cristiana ha disminuido de 22% a menos de 2% en esta área en los últimos 30 años.

Infant Baptism Newborn to six year old

Parents must attend two classes before the baptism. Class #1 A one hour Information Class for parents

only, offered monthly. Please choose godparents only after attending this class.

Class #2 A four hour Preparation Class for parents and godparents.

At class #1, parents will be given the dates for class #2.

Classes begin promptly, so please arrive on time. If you arrive late, you will be asked to attend

the next month’s class. Please do not bring children to the classes.
