Mediq Danmark A/S is the leading trading company in Den-

mark supplying medical devices to the Danish health care

sector. Mediq Danmark A/S is part of the private equity own

Mediq Group, with activities in 14 European countries and in

the US. The owners are the Amarican Advent International.

Who are one af the largest and most experienced equity funds

within health care and life science.

Mediq Danmark A/S provides medical devices and services to

private clients, hospitals, institutions and industry.

Customer benefi ts Sales processes were optimised by integrating and

saving manual steps. This way, preparing specifi c

proposals in daily business has become a lot less

time-consuming.

Tender marketing was successfully implemented and

provides Mediq Danmark A/S an overview, information

and visits both on buying group and account level.

Mediq had started a project regarding the introduction of a

CRM system. Mediq‘s Corporate IT has been responsible for

the defi nition, controlling and implementation of the IT strategy.

At fi rst, the project was started in the Netherlands and

tailored to the local requirements. After that, a roll-out was

scheduled to take place at the other subsidiaries of the

Mediq Group in a total of 14 countries.

Therefore, an adaption of the CRM system to the local

requirements became necessary.

Pre-analysis in 2012

Mediq Headquarters had started a global initiative to intro-

duce a CRM solution based on Oracle CRM on Demand. The

solution was developed by Mediq Netherlands and is the

global template for all countries part of Mediq headquarters.

The Danish Mediq subsidiary had started a CRM purposes to

introduce the global template in Denmark with local amend-

ments. ec4u was the selected partner to start with a prelimi-

nary analysis to fi nd the gaps between local requirements and

the global template. After presenting the result to the local

senior management and the decision that the ec4u approach

will satisfy the needs in an excellent way, ec4u started with

processes. Together with several business owners, ec4u

designed and presented options to slightly add some local

bits to the global template for fulfi lling the local needs and

improving local business processes within the global CRM.

From January to May, a state of the art CRM was ready to

be used by Mediq DK. For having an effi cient rollout ec4u

and mediq agreed on the train the trainer concept, sugge-

sted by ec4u.
