Fully InsulatedThermaglide is designed to give thermal and acoustic insulating properties much higherthan the average garage door. Foam filling in the door curtain plus high performanceweather sealing ensures good insulation - perfect if you want to use your garage as awork/play room or your garage is under a bedroom.

NeatThe standard installation, with mill finish guide tracks andmotor concealed within the door barrel provides a neat andunobtrusive interior (shown left). The optional extra of colourmatched guides and a colour matched half or full roll box(shown above) completes the look.

More Than Just A Garage, Part Of Your Home

Space savingRoller garage doors operate vertically,rolling into a compact coil within thegarage, above the opening. Not only doesthis mean you can park right up to thegarage door, but valuable space is nottaken up inside your garage which couldbe used for storage. The door sits behindthe brickwork allowing any existing frameto be removed, increasing drive-throughwidth by up to 150mm (6”).

Because it rolls‘tighter’ than otherroller doors,Thermaglide takesup less headroomwhen open - just270mm for mostdoor heights(300mm for largerdoors). This, and it’s very compact siderunners, means that Thermaglide offers awider and higher drive-through openingwhich gives you much more room tomanoeuvre. By taking up minimal spacewith the door it means maximum storagespace inside your garage! Thermaglidedoors can also be fitted externally. Thisoption requires a full roll box and is notavailable in woodgrain finishes.

All the features only smaller!Where headroom is especially tight, the Thermaglide 55has all the features of Thermaglide but requires only205mm of headroom and is now available up to 3.0 metreswide and 2.4 metres high.

Looks good inside out!The door can also be fitted to the exterior front face of thegarage, the ideal solution for flat roof garages with nointernal headroom. Better still, the lath has horizontalprofile detailing to both concave and convex faces sodoors fitted externally have the same attractive detailing asthose fitted internally. All finishes with the exception ofGolden Oak and Mahogany can be fitted externally.

CURTAIN ROLL BOXFor a neat and attractive internal finish or external installation a

curtain roll box is available. Boxes are supplied in colours tocomplement the colours of Thermaglide and Thermaglide 55

doors. A half box is a further option for internally fitted doors.

WIRELESS INTERNAL SWITCHComplementing standard light switches the wireless switchcan be mounted inside the garage or home for wirelessoperation of the door. A wired version is also available,shown right.

MANUAL EXTERIOR RELEASE KITFor use in emergencies or in the event of a power failure,

allows the door to be operated manually from outside thegarage - essential if the garage has no other entry point.

LOCKABLE OVERRIDE COVERTo prevent the manual override being used to gain

unauthorized entry to the garage on externally fitted doors.

POWDER COATED GUIDESAvailable in colours to complement Thermaglide doors, powder

coated guides have the same tough, durable finish as the doorcurtain and are the perfect finishing touch. Not available in teak

or woodgrain finishes.

RADIO DIGITAL KEYLESS ENTRY PADExternally wall mounted, will accept a 4 to 13 digit codeto operate door for opening/closing without the handtransmitter. A secure method of operation.

BATTERY BACK UPThe intelligent system can be set to providestandby power for up to one hundreddays. During a power failure the unit willhave enough power to provide at leasteight complete open and close operations.

BEAM BREAKUsed as an additional non-contact safetyfeature. The beam break will halt operationof the door while in motion if the invisiblebeam is interrupted.

GATE CONTROL RELAY UNITThe relay unit allows automatic gates to beactivated by Thermaglide’s remote controltransmitter.

AUTO-CLOSE MODULE For total confidence that your door has notbeen left open, the auto-close moduleautomatically closes the garage door afteran adjustable time period. Must be installed with a beam break.

WIRELESS RADIO KEY SWITCHExternally wall mounted, key operated opening/closingwithout the hand transmitter. A wired version is alsoavailable.

KEYFOB TRANSMITTERSDoors are supplied with two transmitters as standard.Additional handsets can be added anytime. Thehandset is simple to use yet rich in extra features. It hasup, down and stop buttons and activates and de-activates the alarm. The grey button toggles throughthe 8 available channels which can be used to controlany compatible device such as a gate operator orlighting. The transmitter can also be used to add anddelete transmitters.

DOOR STATUS INDICATOR AND SWITCH This unit is wired to the control unit and provides LEDindication of the position of the door - open, closed andintermediate. The unit incorporates a switch to operatethe door.

STANDARD DOOR AND BRICKWORK APERTURE SIZES• Steel-line roller doors are specified by curtain size and made to measure in 5 mm

(3⁄16") increments from 900mm (3'0") wide x 1200 mm (4'0") high to 5100 mm (16' 9")wide x 3050 mm (10'0") high.

• Widths up to 3404 mm (11' 2") are classed as ‘A’ series. Widths above this are classed as ‘AA’ series.

• When correctly installed the door curtain should overlap the opening width on bothsides by a minimum of:- 25 mm each side for ‘A’ series doors without Rollguard- 50 mm each side for ‘AA’ series doors without Rollguard- 35 mm each side for all doors supplied with Rollguard

HEADROOMThe minimum clearance between the bottom of the lintel and the ceiling will varyaccording to the door height required, as illustrated below.NOTES• The clearance must extend back into the garage by 500 mm for all door heights.• The stated headroom is only necessary if the door roll is to be hidden from outside

During the comprehensive 2 year guarantee period Cardale Doors Limited undertake to repair orreplace (at its discretion), and without charge, products or components which have suffered any form ofmanufacturing defect. Claims must be notified within 3 days from the date of delivery or within areasonable time after discovery of any defect.

2. Products covered by these guarantees must have been purchased through an authorised Cardalegarage door distributor or as original equipment attached to a newly built dwelling.

3 The warranties shall apply for normal use only. Normal use constitutes no more than 5 operations(open/close cycles) per day.

4. The warranties offered attach to the Cardale product only and no consequential damages will applyno matter how caused.

5. No liability will be accepted as a result of normal wear and tear, incorrect storage, incorrect handling,faulty installation, incorrect use or wilful damage.

6. Claims under this guarantee must be made through the original supplier and accompanied byrelevant documentation indicating the date of purchase (e.g. receipt).

7. Cardale Doors Limited maximum liability shall be the original purchase price inclusive of ValueAdded Tax at the rate prevailing when supplied.

8. Any product which is the subject of a claim:

i) must have been correctly installed in accordance with the installation instructions supplied andthereafter properly maintained by a suitably experienced engineer on a regular basis as set out inthe Maintenance and Operating Instructions provided with every door. (Additional copies ofthese instructions are available by calling 01280 703022). We recommend that regularmaintenance is provided by a suitably experienced engineer. A Service Passport is supplied with every Cardale garage door and this document contains usefulinformation on how to look after your door. It also includes a Service Record section in which torecord each time your door receives regular routine servicing. This record will be useful in theunlikely event of a claim under this guarantee.

9. Claims will not be accepted where the cause is due to:

i) impact or mechanical damage suffered during or following installation, e.g scratches,indentations, tears, scuffs or other surface abrasion.

ii) damage or discolouration caused by contact with any form of caustic, abrasive or corrosivesubstance, fumes, bird droppings, fire, smoke, floodwater, salts, acids, or from exposure toabnormal atmospheric pollution.

10. This guarantee excludes normal wear and tear on items such as cones, cables, spindles, lockcylinders, hinges or springs.

11. Only Cardale original spare parts must be used when required. The use of non-Cardale parts shallinvalidate this guarantee. Warranty period for replacement parts is 6 months or the balance of theoriginal warranty period if greater.

12. The Exterior Finish Guarantee applies only to the weatherside surface and where more than 5% ofthe surface area of the door is affected. Surfaces must be freely exposed to washing by rainfall andkept clear of accumulated dirt and debris and given equal exposure to local environmentalconditions and consistent natural lighting conditions across the face of the door. Special attention isdrawn to Clause (9) (ii).

13. Primed steel doors and basecoat treated timber doors must receive a suitable exterior qualityfinishing topcoat immediately after installation. This topcoat finish must be applied strictly inaccordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

14. The guarantee period for electric operators excludes batteries, fuses and light bulbs.

15. Parts replaced free of charge become the property of Cardale Doors Limited.

16. Attempted repairs by non-qualified individuals shall invalidate this guarantee.

17. The specific terms of this guarantee shall only apply to products purchased on or after October 2006within the UK and Eire.

18. Cardale garage doors and associated products are sold subject to the Cardale Doors LimitedStandard Terms and Conditions of Sale, copies of which are available upon request. Cardale DoorsLimited shall not be liable as a result of any representation, implied warranty or other term orcondition or for any consequential loss or damage, costs, expenses or other claims whatsoeverexcept as expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

(a) Cardale garage doors are guaranteed against any form of manufacturing defect for a period of

2*years from the date of original purchase.

(b)Cardale Doors Limited also guarantee that its garage doors will operate safely and reliably for

a period of 10*years from original installation.

(c) Cardale electric operators are guaranteed against any form of manufacturing defect for a

period of 5 years for mechanical elements, motors and transformers and for a period of

2 years for other electronic and radio equipment.

(d)The Exterior finish is guaranteed to provide an effective weatherproof membrane which will

resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for the periods

indicated below. Colour change or fade to the exterior surface will be limited and uniform

during the guarantee period.

10 years - Plastisol and Weathergrain Steel, ABS Elite, Steel-line, Thermaglide and Carteck.

2 years - Fully finished timber doors, GRP, Primed Steel and basecoat treated Timber Doors

1 year - Euro Oak Doors
