• "Gender" refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women.

Gender Stereotypes
• Gender stereotypes are generalized and/or assembled

are centered on a limited number of characteristics.
Stereotypes create an impression that everyone in the
group has the same characteristics. Stereotypes create
expectations of what males and females should look like
and how they should think, feel, and act.
