Roles and Functions of Educational Technology in 21st century education

Educational Technology according to Hap Aziz is “ the considered implementation of appropriate tools, techniques, or processes that facilitate the application of senses, memory and cognition to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.” Technology is not the solution to 21st century education, technology is simply a tool to aid education and learning.

21st century learners are expected to have skills such as Creativity and Innovation, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Communication and Collaboration. So, what are the roles and functions of Educational Technology in achieving this and in the 21st century education?
