Rolegard industrial steel shutterSuitable for medium to heavy use

Rolegard industrial steel shutters offer

excellent security and wind resistance

making them ideal for warehouses,

industrial units, garages, workshops,

schools, hospitals, bus depots and

agricultural buildings to accommodate

medium to heavy usage.

The heavy duty power operated shutter

can be supplied with either a single skin

solid scrolled or perforated lath of

varying gauges or alternatively a double

skin 20mm thick section. When open,

the shutter coils neatly above the

opening and does not encroach or cover

the roof area behind the door.

Double skin

Double skinned shutters offer increased

security, wind resistance and insulation.

Insulation is optimised with the use of

20mm thick foam fi lled lath curtain with

twin brush seals within the side guide

and an astragal rubber seal to the

bottom edge of the curtain.

Motor drives and controls

Industrial shutters are driven by a heavy

duty direct drive motor designed to

operate a springless door barrel with an

integral safety brake. An emergency

hand chain system is supplied as

standard and door movement is

controlled via digital encoder limits for

consistent and accurate operation.

Wind load

Externally fi tted shutters meet the

standard wind pressure specifi cation

BS EN 12424:class 2.

Doors required to meet higher wind

classes may be available dependant

on size.

Rolegard commercial aluminium shutterSuitable for light to medium use

The rolegard commercial range is

designed to provide security that is

aesthetically pleasing and suitable for

low to medium requirements. They are

intended for low cycle use being left in

the open or closed position until

required. They are ideal for shopping

malls, high street frontages, leisure

facilities, offi ces and commercial

premises of all types. Commercial

aluminium shutters also feature an

aluminium head box as standard.


Rolegard shutters can be operated

electrically using an integral tubular

motor drive or manually operated either

by hand push/pull or geared hand crank

winding handle. All shutters are fi tted

with anti-lift mechanisms or locking to

resist unauthorised intrusion.

Commercial shutters are supplied as

standard with a single pole switch or

alternative key switch.

shopping malls, high street frontage,

leisure facilities, offi ces and commercial

premises of all kinds accommodating

light to medium usage. Commercial steel

shutters also feature a galvanised steel

head box as standard.


Rolegard shutters can be operated

electrically using an integral tubular

motor drive or manually operated by

hand push/pull. All shutters are fi tted

with anti-lift mechanisms or locking to

resist unauthorised intrusion.
