He was born on November 8, 1908 .
Introduction :

Women’s Characters :
Achakka is old lady, Narrator of this novel.
The novel start with Achakka speech.
She was open minded Brahmin woman.
She is telling a story to his Grandson in flashback.
ACHAKKA :
She is revolutionary woman.
She organize “Sevika Sangh.”
She inspire other woman with her speech and helps.
She published weekly political pamphlet and sponsors.
She daily discussed on nationalist movement Gandhi’s view.
RANGAMMA :
She was a fifteen year, Child widow, who has been powerfully influenced by modern idea.
She was daughter of Kamalamma.
Who does not regard being a woman as a matter of shame and inferiority.
Ratna :
Goddess Kenchamma is a Folklore.
She is Goddess for the villagers and lower caste people.
She is Mother of Himavathy.
Kenchamma is the when ever villager find any difficulty the praise Goddess Kenchamma.
Goddess Kenchamma :
Highly believed in God and Goddess. Example:- “Kenchamma came from heavens,
she fought so many night, that the blood socked in to the earth
that Kenchamma hill is real.”
