Bosch Rexroth offers a complete ecosystem from sensor to cloud solutions according to Bosch IT security standards. The IoT Gateway software is easy to integrate thanks to OPC UA (server/ client). It can be also used with 3rd party controls.
The next step IoT Gateway software will enable users to digitally manage all connected IoT devices remotely. It will encompass scalable IoT upgrade packages for legacy machines and a Software Development Kit (SDK) for creating individual applications. In addition, security functions such as encrypted data transmission and increased protection against viruses.
In future the IoT Gateway software will be able to pre-process data and handle local analytics. Users can implement payment via cryptocurrencies like IOTA.

APAS is a family of mobile assistants for human machine collaboration with a world-wide unique contact free machine safety. They can be used according to all safety regulations without safety fence as a barrier to humans.

More than 100 APAS systems are already in use at production plants throughout the world. Although APAS assistant robots have fully collaborative safety, they can move with high speed if no humans are close to them. The APAS inline versions are fully compatible with standard industrial robots.
APAS assistant of the next generation will use a modular platform independent software for all APAS robots. It will come with an enhanced machine vision capability. The mobile solutions are suited for flexible usage in different locations.
Digital twins of APAS in the future will fit into fully digitized value stream design. It will support advanced interaction with human co-workers based on digital safety sensors. Additionally it will identify parts and their pick positions based on CAD-datasets. It will be ready to deep-learning and AI-algorithms for automated part handling without extensive engineering.

In the first product version, the guided vehicle transports lean dollies that are loaded with bin (KLT) or similar. The autonomous transport system offers a solution in which a wide variety of transport concepts can be implemented -cyclical transports as well as demand-oriented material supply.
Active Shuttle is a concept car and will expand the Bosch Rexroth product range in the Assembly Technology area.
