Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits, Atlanta, GA (July 2006 - May 2010)Corporate Report Writer / Business AnalystI came into this company as the first dedicated report developer. The company was data rich but had no idea of how to leverage what they had to make decisions for the company. I developed a system of analytic reports that described the data they had in easy to understand terms such as Average Ticket, Labor as % of Sales Total, Management, Shift Leader and Team broken out by each region over a trended time period. This highlighted areas needing improvement. I later added time stamps relating to sales and was able to prescribe solutions to improve the company bottom line which included lessening staff during slow periods of shifts and increasing during faster periods. These metrics were also key in lowering the amount of product that was wasted per shift. I also designed a Metric Moving Scorecard which proved to save the company and its franchises millions. The philosophy was, “You can’t move what you can’t measure.” The MMS captured data from several different sources and compared aggregated totals against the System, Region, Direct Marketing Area, and Franchise as well as on the Restaurant Level. The data translated into a story that gave trended values for metrics important to the Customer; % Delighted, Cleanliness, Friendliness, Taste of Food, Order Accuracy, and Speed of Service: important for Restaurant Manager; Certified Managers, Certified Servsafe Manager and All Pro Crew / Team Members: important for Finance; Net Sales vs Last Year, Net Sales vs DMA, Profit, Comp Sales Growth, Comp Transactions Growth, and Comp Average Check Growth: important to Operations; Openings & Closing / Actual vs PlanTools Utilized: Crystal Reports, Xcelisus, ESSBASE, SQL Server, MS Office Suite, Ultipro ReportingApplications: Lawson (Financial), PeopleSoft, Ultipro, Radiant Bluecube, SQL Management Studio
Dynamic Reporting Solutions, Inc, Atlanta, GA (March 2000 – July 2006)Sr. Business Analyst, Reporting Engineer, Quality Analyst / Trainer/ OwnerAs a consultant, I wear several hats in this role. Amongst the roles are developing various reports that related to HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance and Supply Chain and I have trained end-users to do the same. In the role of trainer, I customize on-site training with custom manuals that is workshop intensive and centered around pre-determined areas the client needs. Also, I interview and manage onshore and offshore teams for special projects while ensuring that all work is continuous from one team to the next and quality checked before meeting every deadline. I am often called to learn products for the purpose of presentation to Executive Officers as well as peers. My role is valued because of my ability to understand and speak in simple terms for those with limited technical experience then translate and present requirements in technical terms for development.

Sr. Crystal Reports DeveloperIn this role, I was on boarded for the sole purpose of helping to determine the overall and detailed damage caused by over-zealous stock traders who continued to trade for upwards of 30 minutes after the bell rang to end trading for the day. I was tasked with extracting data that gave the exact times for each trade as well as the associated funds attached.Tools Utilized: Crystal Reports, SQL ServerApplications: Custom Bank App
Automatic Data Processing, Atlanta, GA (September 1997 – March 2000)Reporting Tools Help DeskI was one of the first 4 people hired to learn reporting after ADP’s CHQ deemed it necessary to push support out of one central location into 6 regions. We were mostly self-taught to develop reports using ReportSmith. I was quickly known as the “go to” person in reporting and trained every person who joined the helpdesk team. I created training articles and reference sheets to assist the training department in presenting material to ADP Clients. I was often sent to the ADP client site to reinforce or retrain them on the concepts they learned when in the training class on the ADP campus. This proved valuable to the clients because as a trainer who was also a developer and who worked the helpdesk, I was able to immediately address any concerns the client had with their live data. This is what led me to branch out on my own and form Dynamic Reporting Solutions, Inc.Tools Utilized: ReportSmith, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, OracleApplications: ADP
United States Airforce Reserves, Robbins & Tyndall AFB (July 1986 – July 1992)Staff Sergeant / Aircraft SystemsIn this role, I performed maintenance and performance tuning of F-15 Fighter Aircraft Systems.
