States Tourist “Rocky Mountain Region”In groups of 3, students will choose a state, and they will suppose they were at U.S. Rocky Mountain Region as tourist, and they will show to the class some pictures about the landmarks and how the travel was, they will also bring some object that we could find there. The Rocky Mountains run through five of the six states of this region. The other state is on a high plateau.

The Rocky Mountains are part of a long chain of mountains. This chain reaches from Alaska to the bottom of South America at the Andes Mountains.

BASIN is a landform shaped like a giant bowl. It

has high sides all around. GLACIERIs a huge field of ice and snow. Even in

summer the mountain is cover with snow.

CANYONSA narrow valley formed after hundreds

of thousands of years.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone, widely held to be the first national park in the world, is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests ecoregion.

OLD FAITHFUL

Is a cone geyser located in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, United States. Old Faithful was named in 1870 during the Washburn-Langford-Doane Expedition and was the first geyser in the park to receive a name. It is one of the most predictable geographical features on Earth, erupting every 35 to 120 minutes. The geyser, as well as the nearby Old Faithful Inn, is part of the Old Faithful Historic District.

THE AMES MONUMENT

Is a large pyramid in Albany County Dedicated to brothers Oakes Ames and Oliver Ames, the monument is a four-sided, 60 feet square at the base and 60 feet high, constructed of light-colored native granite. It was completed in 1882.The brothers garnered credit for connecting the nation by rail upon completion of the United States' First Transcontinental Railroad in 1869

WYOMING 

DEVILS TOWER

This monolith in Wyoming’s Black Hills is one of the state’s most famous attractions. Standing 1,267-feet above the surrounding area, Devils Tower has long been a sacred place for Native American tribes and a landing spot for aliens in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Some visitors come to climb the landmark, but you can also admire it from the ground in the Black Hills.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Is a national park located in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, in the north-central region of the U.S. state of Colorado. It features majestic mountain views, mountain lakes, a variety of wildlife, varied climates and environments—from wooded forests to mountain tundra—and easy access to back-country trails and campsites. The park is located northwest of Boulder, Colorado, and includes the Continental Divide and the headwaters of the Colorado River.

ELITCH GARDENS THEME PARK

Theme and Water Park, locally known as "Elitch's", is an amusement park in Denver, Colorado. It is owned by Stanley Kroenke and operated by Premier Parks, LLC. Elitch Gardens is unique in that it is located in a downtown area and is open May through October.

DOWNTOWN AQUARIUM

(formerly Colorado's Ocean Journey) is a public aquarium and restaurant located in Denver, Colorado. Its freshwater and marine aquaria total approximately 1,000,000 US gallons (3,785,000 l), and exhibit a variety of fish and other animals.

The Downtown Aquarium in Denver is owned and operated by Landry's Restaurants, Inc and is the largest aquarium between Chicago and California.
