• The park was created because of it’s natural beauty which should be shared with everyone

•The Rocky Mountains are mostly mountains with valleys, streams, rivers and lakes running through them

The land changes very slowly and it is mostly the way it has been for thousands of years except for some erosion

•Serious problems have arisen as a result of timber harvesting, grazing, oil exploration, mining, and reservoir operations in the Rockies. logging and oil exploration have been responsible for accelerated slope erosion

•There are also problems with infestations such as the “pine beetle epidemic” killing acres of trees

How Does the Park Use Technology

Mostly as a tool to better communicate and interact with visitors by providing better information, maps, and social media.
