Ladies and Gentlemen:

Live from a small boxing gym in Indianapolis, some of the toughest fighters in the nation take on a single opponent and reigning champ – Parkinson’s disease, cause unknown and as yet, undefeated. Rock Steady Boxing, a nonprofit organization, is the first non-contact boxing gym in the country dedicated to people with Parkinson’s disease. Founded in 2006, this innovative boxing-inspired fitness regimen is having amazing results, delaying or even reversing symptoms. In our gym, Rock Steady boxers fight for their lives. Who attends? The incredible “Rock Steady Method” can be shared with physical therapists, occupational therapists, boxing coaches, personal trainers, activity directors and anyone who works with people with Parkinson’s. During this fun, interactive and hands-on seminar, you will learn boxing skills and techniques and the specific ways intense exercise impacts Parkinson’s. You will be a “guest coach” in our Saturday morning classes and be inspired by the dedication of our boxers. You will receive all the information you need to establish the Rock Steady Method in your hometown gym or facility. Rock Steady Boxing’s goal is to educate as many people as possible about the benefits of intense exercise and the Rock Steady Method, and to increase the number of safe and welcoming places for people with Parkinson’s to exercise. We believe the Rock Steady Method will become a national movement in the fight against Parkinson’s.
