Have you ever said anything similar to the following statements? I didn’t have enough time to create my online class. I’m late because there was so much traffic. I don’t know how to create a YouTube video.

Those are excuses…you are not taking 100% responsibility for your life when you make excuses, and that means that you can not get the outcome you want because you are not in control.

If you want to take control of you life the statements above might be: I choose to go to the movies instead of working on my online class I’m late because I didn’t leave on time. I choose not to figure out how to create a YouTube video.

When we accept responsibility for EVERY action we take or do not take, we then are in control of the outcome of every aspect of our lives.

Superior Customer Service habitsYou are going to “all the trouble” to get these customers so you want to be sure you exceed their expectations in every way possible.

Random Acts of Kindness: I usually do these without announcing them to the entire group.

If a customer is going through a rough time, I might send them a package of sewing goodies to brighten their day.

If a long time customer has suddenly come into a time of financial hardship, I might offer them a discount or give them the yearly membership for free.

Under promise and over deliver:

For this program I offered everyone “1 call with me”, but once we were into the class that offer went to “2 calls with me”, and then if you needed more you could even do more than 2 during the 60 day class period.

When I “sell” my membership programs I offer a certain number of online classes but I always put in at least one bonus class…usually it is a class that has been released before, so it is no extra work for me, but greatly appreciated by my members

Thank you notes and packaging:

When you are shipping an item, make it look nice, wrap it in tissue paper, include a nice card that has a hand written note which starts with the customers name and lets them know you appreciate their support.

One company I order from always includes a few mini size candy bars in my order. (I like that extra little touch.)

Respond to customer questions and comments

Sometimes emails get overlooked and you might be embarrassed to reply because it has been so long. Get over your feelings and reply anyway, your customers deserve that!

If a customer is feeling frustrated take the extra step to interact with them. Whenever I have the time to personally call the customer on the phone I do. If I don’t have the time for that, or it doesn’t warrant a phone call, I send a detailed email to answer their concerns let them know I have heard them. Sometimes I will not be able to change things to give them what they are asking for, but giving an explanation is usually appreciated.

Here is an example: I do lots of “free webinars” where I have guest presenters and we offer something for sale. When I do the “free replay”, there is no fast forward or rewind. I get lots of emails (some nice, some not so nice) wanting these features. In the beginning my response was to just ignore them….(wrong answer!!) Now my response is something like this: Thank you for contacting me. I am so glad you are enjoying the webinar replay. Fast forward and rewind are available when you become a Premium Member. The Premium Membership also allows you to download these replays to your computer so you can have them in your sewing library forever….PLUS lots more. Here’s the link if you would like to find out more! {insert clickable link}

Now I ge several people to became premium members during each replay period because of this quick email response.

Putting it all together

Facebook: • Create a facebook page and group• Create a schedule for posting to your page and group

• Monday Inspiration• Thursday Tip• Saturday Motivation

• When someone likes a post be sure to invite them to like your page• Every once in a while share a related “viral” post on your page to increase likes and get

more followers • Encourage them to sign up for your newsletter, free membership etc to get their email

address• Facebook live (free drawing, tip segment, sew along…)• *****Introduce a 5 Day Challenge to help launch your online class****

Newsletter: • On facebook, ask people to join your newsletter list and offer them a freebie if they

sign up for it• Add people from the facebook group that have given you their email• Do an event with someone else to get exposure and possibly increase your mailing list

• Summits• Classes in stores• See if there are groups on FB that will allow you to post to increase your list

• Advertise your online classes, products etc• Give great information so they are not all sales oriented• *****Introduce a 5 Day Challenge to help launch your online class****

Website/Landing Page• Create at least a one page website where you can take payments for when you offer

your online class (or you could use lead pages to create a landing page without a website)

• Create the area where your students will get their class information once they join

Putting it all together5 Day Challenge:

• This will take place in your FB Group, however the way they will get the information is from an email so you are getting people from FB on your email list, and people on your email list to join your FB Group….great method for exposure

• Days 1-4 will be on FB• Day 5 can be on zoom. It can be offered more than one time or you can have replays• Be sure to include activities in the challenge that will encourage the participants to

interact on the FB group to get the excitement going.• Everyday during your presentations you will be encouraging the participants to sign up

for the master class, and gently overcoming objections

Day 5 Master Class:

• Be sure to offer your best information during this class. You want as many people as possible to join you for this class because it is going to be where you ask for the sale.

• Deliver a portion of the information and then present your offer. (Example if you are giving 5 tips about crafting, give 4 tips and save the best one….#5, for after the sales presentation)

• As you are presenting your offer give them the features AND BENEFITS! If the customer doesn’t know how it is going to help them, they will not purchase it.

• Include fast action bonus items to get them to purchase right away

Enrolling them in the class

• You will give them a link to make the purchase • Once they purchase they will get an auto responder welcoming them• A series of other autoresponders will go out creating excitement about the upcoming

class.• Remember you can send “surveys” (we talked about these in Module 2) to those that

did not purchase
