It offers an alternative to the car by giving access to all forms of public transport to visit La Rochelle and the surrounding area.

The Pass’Rochelais entitles :

✓ Unlimited transport to travel through the Communauté d’Aggloméra-tion of La Rochelle (the 18 towns around La Rochelle) by bus, sea bus, passeur or “yellow bike”(3 hours/day) for 1, 2, 3 or 7 days according to your needs with either an individual or a family tariff.

✓ Reduced admission to touristic sites in La Rochelle.

✓ No queuing for tickets in participating sites.

✓ An economy of time : no traffic jam, no parking place to find.

✓ A contribution to environment protection (1 full bus = 58 cars and 85 % reduction of CO2 emissions).

PaRk & Ride: - Jean Moulin Park & Ride south of La Rochelle

centre: 600 parking places hardly a mile from the Old Port with a free shuttle every 10 minutes to go to the town centre.

- Illico-Greffières Park & Ride north of La Rochelle: 300 parking places with a direct connection to line Illico, a fast bus serving the town centre in 10 min.

- Illico-Vieljeux Park & Ride on the northern outskirts of La Rochelle (access from the île de Ré by ring road) 125 parking places with 3 bus lines including line Illico serving the town centre in 5 min.

the sea Bus: A 20-minutes crossing between the Old Port and Les Minimes pleasure port and return aboard one of the 2 electro-solar sea buses. Departure from Cours des Dames:

- every half hour in summer

- every hour in April, May, June and September, week-ends, bank holidays and school holidays October to March.

It’s a unique opportunity to discover La Rochelle from the sea… and also to return from Les Minimes’s beach (departure from quai du Lazaret) directly to the town centre via the sea, the shortest possible way!

how to rent a yellow bike?

Show your punched transport ticket of your Pass Rochelais at the Tourist Office of La Rochelle. For each borrowed bike a deposit of 150 € is required as a guarantee.

You can rent a bike for 3 hours in accordance with the Pass Rochelais, then each extra hour costs 1,10 €.

You have to bring it back before the Tourist Office closing time.

- Small exhibition n° 7 : they look like me and I look like them…Collections’thematic small exhibition that highlights the woman and its représentations in art, carried out by a group of women from Mireuil district. From September 2013 to end of August 2014.

- Vietnam’soilExhibition of vietnamese ceramics from d’Orbigny-Bernon’s collections, in connection with André Maire’s works within the Framework of the crossed years Vietnam-France. From May 23rd to September 8th.

The Fine Arts Museum houses a large collection of European paintings from the XVth to the XXIth centuries. To present the whole collection and highlight it small temporary exhibitions are carried out by a group of locals.

The protectors of the city and traces of successive sieges, the

three towers bear witness to the maritime splendour of La

Rochelle from the Middle Ages.

St Nicolas Tower (XIVth century), a true labyrinthine keeps offering a panoramic

view of the town and the bay.

The Chain Tower houses a permanent exhibition “La Rochelle-Quebec, embark for

New-France!” an invitation to follow migrants of past centuries on their travel to

the New World.

The Lantern Tower, the most ancient lighthouse

on the Atlantic coast, then served as a prison.

It contains more than 600 graffitis carved by

prisoners for 3 centuries.
