(The Innovation Knowledge Foundation) intende dar vita a un Istituto di ricerca internazionale indipendente e non-profit – un Think Tank – che si ponga l’obiettivo di raccogliere, elaborare, condividere e diffondere conoscenze sull’utilizzo delle tecnologie ICT, digitali e science-driven per promuovere i processi di innovazione, la crescita economica e lo sviluppo umano nelle economie mature, emergenti ed in via di sviluppo, in un’epoca caratterizzata dalla centralità dei temi della sostenibilità ambientale ed energetica. 3THINK! Lo stato dell’arte nel nostro Paese
• Al momento, ad esclusione di rare eccezioni (ISF), le organizzazioni NonProfit tendono ad avere un rapporto occasionale e marginale con l’ICT…
• A loro volta I’Industria ICT ha un’idea estremamente vaga del Terzo Settore e del suo grande potenziale…
• Come risultato l’Industria ICT tende semplicemente a riciclare in questo settore prodotti general purpose…
• … e il “Manager NonProfit” rimane spesso un ossimoro.

Profit o NonProfit?
Le Organizzazioni NonProfit svolgono un ruolo fondamentale:
• nel promuovere l’uso delle Tecnologie ICT per favorire lo sviluppo umano
• nel garantire la sostenibilità ambientale ed energetica delle Nuove Tecnologie (caso Apple/Greenpeace)
A sua volta, il mondo del NonProfit può aprire i nuovi grandi mercati della Qualità della Vita, dell’ Educazione, della Salute, dell’ Inclusione Sociale, oggi trascurati dall’ approccio di breve termine di molti dei maggiori Vendor ICT
